I couldn't care less about the white iphone, but I do feel bad for my best friend. She really wanted an iphone4 (never had an iphone before) and decided to wait for the white. Everyday she excitedly asks me if I know when they'll be on sale. She is actually waiting it out - none of this buying and returning nonsense. Now today I have to give her the bad news =(
you should email mr liar pants steve jobs and tell him to break the bad news. he's the one who lied.
I'll just rebuy it, my ATT store has some in stock... then just return them and swap to 3gs, vice versa until whites out
No worries... going to pick up a new iphone 4 after work today... already on hold.
Pretty interesting move by jobs to make a press conference stating end of july, when apparently they hadn't even started production? Otherwise he would have known they couldn't get them done.

I've had iphone since launch except 3 days (past 3 days).

Almost there... keep trying though.
I mean I really don't see the huge issue here... I tried to "play" the system, get a white phone, didn't work. Nobody else gets on either.
I still get my black.
I mean I imagine the next HUGE debate is all the folks getting tons of itunes gift cards now by going from store to store saying you bought the bumper cash?

I was gonna play the system, just like miller...planned on driving up today to return it, cause tomorrow is day 30.
But now I won't, and I'll just play the eBay system instead. I'll easily get $350-400+ for my iP4 on ebay, then I'll just rebuy the white at $699 and I have 2 $100 gift cards from best buy anyway for trading in old phones, so...it'll be like it's free AND I won't have to have a new contract date. Thanks, Apple!

Companies keep a record of returns, yeah. At some point they'll cut you off for suspicious behavior.

If you're going to sell your iphone 4 for 400 just skip the ebay BS and sell it to me.

To millerb7, you are the idiot! Creating a thread bragging about how you were swapping to the black. You deserved everything you got here. I think everyone would be a bit more forgiving if you could admit your foolishness.
