I'm quite surprise about how many people are returning the iPhone X missing the Plus. Therefore, I decide to create this thread claiming WHY I won't return my iPhone X although I miss my 6S+.

8+ is an excellent device, is the culmination of 10 years of evolution from the old iPhone 2G. In fact, I was considering to buy the 8+, because technically, 8+ and X are similar. But I'm happy I didn't because, ladies and gentlemen, iPhone X is the future, whether we like it or not.

I miss my 6S+ size and the home button. I'm also pissed because not all app's are compatible with the X resolution (I guess is just matter of time), but for first time in 10 years I have the future in my hands (last time was when I had original iPhone). In fact, the iPhone X is the next step of the iPhone's evolution and I'm looking forward to see whats going on next year's iPhone.

No, I won't return the iPhone X although I badly miss the +size. It's time to move on into the future...

Good for you mate, mine should arrive soon but a play with one in the store confirmed my own views. The problem is, all those people who are saying they are going to return it, all those complaining and whining about stuff and listing faults and reasons...90%+ of those people don't even have an iPhone X. They are just trolling and copying what they read elsewhere.

As you say, everything can be improved, and next year will see that, and then the next year, and then all the things people were whining about will fade away, only to leave room for new things for people to moan about. Me? I just buy my kit and use it. Using something is how you get enjoyment out of it, not constantly nit-picking.

I’m not returning mine either. I’m digging it. You can take people on here as the norm. We in here are the small minority. I know it seems like we are the pulse of everything but it’s not true. The vast majority of users never visit a forum unless they have a issue. Most everyone else carry’s on with the device happily.

For me I love the X. I was against it in the beginning and said I was keeping my 8 plus. But I finally decided to get the X and glad I did. Has been working great. Love the build quality and the silver is amazing. Using gestures is easy as I’ve used plenty of other devices with them also.

I definitely won't be returning mine either. I'm coming from the Pixel 2 and before that the iphone 8+ and Note 8.

In my opinion, the X is the best phone out right now. The design is nice and premium and IOS 11 is sleek and smooth. Unlike the "Iris Scanning" Feature on the Note 8, the phone Face ID is much quicker and smooth. The screen is gorgeous for my eyes. I'm not looking at my phone at these weird stupid angles trying to find a blue or yellow tint. Wireless charging is also better on my X than my previous phones that had the same feature. I can just pop the X on the wireless charger and it charges. On my previous devices, I had to place the device down a certain way for it to charge.

And the Notch...I love it! It gives the iphone X some flavor. It distinguishes itself from other iphone models.

I'm 100% happy with my purchase. No second guesses at all.

I won't return my X: I love it! I am, however, returning my 8+, which is a great device, and I'd keep it and love it if the X didn't exist. The X is delightful.

Keeping mine as well! Haven’t had any serious issues and although I wish it was a tad wider the plus was too wide for me making it hard for me to hold my phone. I hated taking phone calls in public because I couldn’t put the phone on speaker and was forced to hold such an uncomfortable device. I’m glad the home button is gone. It’s taking me some time to get used to all of the gestures but I’ve found it’s easier and quicker for me to use the gestures than the home button.

As I said in the original post, I'm only pissed about the app's (still) not compatible with the X. But returning a phone because (as I read in other post) looks smaller... WTF? o_O

What I like:
- Screen is beautiful
- Enclosure is smooth and a beauty to look at/hold
- Wireless charging is more useful than i expected, and will also save the bottom of my phone from scratches when i constantly miss plugging in the cable lol
- Loud speaker is fantastic
- Camera is fantastic (both front and back) - image stabilization is great
- Quick as hell, everything is so smooth
- Much more but I'll stop for now

What I don't like:
- Size is a bit too small for what i like
- landscape video not the best
- Most Apps haven't made an X-compatible version yet

Safe to say, I love this phone and the only real issue I have with it is I wish there was a 6.46 inch version available. I'm hoping next year they fix any kinks and go to a bigger screen as another variant; Then, I really will have the perfect phone for me.

I've had my X since Sunday. Coming from the 8+, my two main concerns were the size and battery life. After the initial shock of going down in size, im completely happy with my decision. The size of the X is almost the perfect size for me. Was the jump from the 8+ huge? No but the additions were more than enough for me to feel like the upgrade was worth it. The phone will continue to improve once iOS is optimized for the X.

Phone gets better over time, as does the intuitiveness between the device and the user...I don't think it is wise to have returned it already as some have unless there is really good reason. Excited what the future of this phone will bring, not a chance of a return..

I was 100% going to return it (it arrived 9am this morning) and at midday I was still going to return it.

Now I was linked via these forums to an "iPhone X clear screen mod" YouTube video and I can see my hand already hovering over to my pentalobes....

After a week with the X, I am convinced that not only is this the best phone I've ever had since the 6s Plus and a myriad of Android phones, but it's exactly what I've been looking for in a phone. Before any detractors accuse me of being a fanboy, I loved the 6s Plus for the screen real estate and ample battery life, but always found it to be a bit unwieldy and not particularly pocket-friendly. As more and more apps get optimized for the X, it'll only get better. Apple really nailed it with this phone.

love my X!

faceid so much more reliable than touchid.

honestly my 6s plus still compares well on performance but feels bulky. happy to sell it soon to user needing bigger screen.

Defineilty holding on to my X.

This phone is brilliant, super fast, battery is amazing and quality is on point.

Not to mention the camera is the best in the market.

Supports full functionality of iMessage ( which makes it world friendly ) and its compatible with everything and anything.

You cannot go wrong with an iPhone. Android phones are nice and all but their reliability is on the fence. I like to travel and use the Apple wallet/ boarding pass option a lot.

I will never feel comfortable with a phone ( android phones ) that can go blank at Will. That’s a huge scare and nightmare. iPhone is solid and reliable.

It is a bit small for my hands but it does make it easier taking it out of my pockets.

Returning faulty phones is one thing but...
There is so much going for X right from the screen to animoji to the form factor!
I am genuinely stunned that people would it return for a 8+ (I could even understand a trip to android world TBH) !!
