Again, these are all just speculations/rumors (hence appropriately call MacRumors). I was just referring to the dream specs. in many of the forum user's specs. wish list (USB 3.0, Blu-ray drive <-- just to name a few), even though i don't see them necessarily happening in the upcoming refresh, but perhaps as an optional upgrade?? I don't know, but if not in this refresh then quite possibly by the end of the year?

I so highly doubt they implement USB 3.0 when they are helping with light peak, which i wouldn't expect to see on machines until next summer (2011). Wasn't the first USB 3.0 product just released, or even announced? Some external HD..

Not sure if this means anything, but I just tried to go to the Store part of the Apple.com website. It's temporarily unavailable because it's being updated!

I see that.......there's also another thread devoted entirely to this topic!! I have to tell you, this is all a bit amusing -but in a good way. I'm a very frustrated long-time Windows user (latest is a Dell laptop) anxiously awaiting my first Apple purchase since 1981 when I bought an Apple II in grad school. My daughters both have MBPs and love em, so I'm waiting for the refresh of the MBP to get mine. The amount of time and energy devoted to the MBP update on this site, on youtube, and elsewhere is really something! So, hey guys, when the refresh comes out, just stand aside and let me get mine first!

And BTW, the store site is back up - no MBP updates!!
