For those who are sticking with their 4 and are happy with it post here.

With IOS 5 and icloud it makes it even more better to stick with the 4 until a real upgrade next year with the 5.

Cant wait to start using the notifications center e.t.c

Not like the 4 is slow either, yeah the 4s is faster but you won't see a huge difference to be worth paying out more money

better camera? ugh not like the 4 is bad.

Assistant? really? who will actually use it.

spending £500 for a phone which is faster and has a bigger chip along with a better camera? certainly not.

Makes the waiting for the 5 that much better.

I'm sticking with my iPhone 4 and will save my money for the iPad 3 in the Spring.

If I was in the market for an iPhone, then I would go ahead and get the 4GS, but since I already have an iPhone 4, I'm just waiting on iOS5..I've been decided that my next iPhone after my 4 will be whatever model is out when I get stationed back stateside in 2013... so basically, i',m perfectly happy with my 4..just cant wait 8 days to get iOS5!!

I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone 4!!! But I will still be upgrading. I love the iPhone 4, it's design, it's easily the best phone for me that exists, so why on earth wouldn't I want a better version of it??

Got an iPhone 4 last December, I see no point in upgrading to the 4S, especially since Siri isn't even available in my country. What a joke.

No way i'm getting a 4S, i'll stick with iPhone 4 for now. Might get an iPad 2

Indeed

Even changed my email to a yahoo account so i could get push emails in the notifications center.

You guys do all realize that you can sell your iPhone 4 on Craigslist for more than the price of the iPhone 4S, right? You'll basically get paid to upgrade, and you'll still be eligible for the next one.

But yeah, good luck sticking with it.

I bought AppleCare, with my iPhone 4 last December, so I see no reason to upgrade until after that expires and/or my phone irreparably dies.

I just don't see the need, especially when I have a 32 GB iPad 2 for watching videos and what not as well.

£250-300 on eBay =/= £500 I'd need to upgrade.

Still torn. I really love the specs of the 4S, I bet it feels so much faster and responsive. Yet, it's not like the iPhone 4 sucks. For me it's a choice between iPad 2 or 4S.

That is if we are eligible for a discounted upgrade on our phone plan.

It's really not that simple. When you buy a subsidised phone, it's not a gift from your network. The monthly contractual payments include repayment of that subsidy along with the cost of the plan you're on. You may feel like things are cheaper from the get-go, but you'd be paying a premium.

Same boat, but I'm leaning towards the iPad 2. 4S just doesn't seem worth it. I'm sure its snappier, but then again the 3GS was an even bigger difference (with the 3G) and I didn't miss out on anything really.

I don't use the voice control at all, and I don't see myself using it in the future.

The rest of it seems so incremental, now ways near as good as owning an iP4 and iPad combo.

edit: Has anyone else noticed some of the specs on the 4S are worse than the 4? Standby time, 200 on 4S and 300 on iP4. Weight 4.9 vs 4.8. I realize these aren't dealbreakers, but it kinda just goes to show the upgrade wasn't all that revolutionary. In fact, in some cases it was a step backwards.

and then locked in for TWO years, making you ineligible for subsidized price for iphone 5 next summer.

Why would you keep your 4 when you can sell it on Craigslist for the same price as a new one? I do it everytime. Who's to say the "iPhone 5" will be released this summer?

Why not sell your old Iphone then? Chances are you won't end up paying £500 with the money you make back from selling your 4th generation Iphone 4.

I love my iPhone 4 and have zero issues with it. Does it feel slow? No. Do I wish apps were faster? No. The under-the-hood spec increase of the 4S makes no practical difference to me. I'll happily upgrade to iOS 5, but mostly I'm excited by the continual stream of amazing apps.

I'd stick with my iPhone 4 too, if I had one. Not really impressed with this 4S crap. I'm going to buy one because my 3GS is dying, but still .. not impressed.

This'll clearly upset 3GS owners, but news of the 4GS confirms to me that people who currently own a 4 and had a 3G before it (assuming you skip a gen and upgrade every 2 years) are on the optimum cycle. The 4GS is a nice piece of kit but hardly worth bothering with if you have a 4. Thought the same about the 3GS. "The new hotness" hardly applies to the S releases it seems to me. Roll on the V!

Of course, if you are upgrading from a 3GS, the 4GS is a splendid upgrade and will be enjoyed immensely.

It sounds to me that you are really unsure if you are still happy with your iPhone 4 after seeing the new features of the 4S and just need other peoples opinion to reassure yourself. :)

For sure just upgrading your iPhone to iOS 5 will in itself make it feel like a whole new phone. Unless iOS 5 requires a bit more horsepower and causes your phone to run a bit slower.

How can you say for sure without an actual hands on? That dual-core A5 is pretty powerful. I have an iPad 2 with the same processor and it sure seems faster to me.

Assistant? really? who will actually use it.

If Siri works as well as it does in the videos (notice it still says BETA on Apple's page) then it could be quite useful. I would think it would even be a more useful feature than Facetime is for most people.

Your right, the iPhone 4 camera is very good. But based on the sample unretouched photos on Apple's site, the camera is quite a bit better. On the video side of things having hardware stabilization is a HUGE feature which will improve the quality of video shot with the 4S quite a bit. Plus it shoots 1080p video.

I have always sold my iPhones after upgrading. You can get quite a lot for them which would certainly help pay for the new one.

Nope. Not happy. (But I didn't want to start a new thread).

My iP4 contract is up in a few months. Going to dump it, get a cheap voice only, no contract phone. I'll also get to pick from a dozen carriers. Then... a brand spankin' new iPod Touch.

Probably buy a beach house in Jamaica with all the savings.
