Please! An iPhone mini 14!
We're still months away from the launch of the iPhone 14 models, which we're expecting in September 2022, but we've already heard enough rumors about the new devices that we have a clear picture of what to expect.
Rumors for upcoming products can sometimes be hard to follow, so we thought we'd do an at-a-glance rumor summary for the iPhone 14 so our readers can get a quick overview of what we might see without having to delve into tons of reading. We've separated the info into iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lists, as these models are expected to be quite different in 2022.

I have no issue with face ID......unlocking with the AWFaceID is such a great feature during COVID /s
Surprised they haven't brought back fingerprints.
If this SEEMS important to you, I suggest you get a life. Can you even remember a single future iPhone article you ever read in the past? I skip all this, and then when the phone comes out, I watch the announcement and read about it and am pleasantly surprised and usually impressed. In the meantime, I am enjoying a great life with my current phone.

Yeah, I wish they would start a page called iPhone rumors so I could skip this crap. I would guess the vast majority of iPhone users use less than half the full functionality of their phone.Let's see, you are on a page called Mac"rumors"
Apple probably have about a 2 year design cycle and nobody expected the pandemic to last this long in 2020. I am happily using my 6sAs a professional photographer I used to get excited about camera upgrades and replaced my iPhone yearly, but now the best part of two years into a mask wearing pandemic I won't be replacing my iPhone until we get Touch ID back. I simply do not understand how after all this time, this hasn't been addressed, especially when the technology is available.
Because I’m poor and older phones are great anyway“Is your life basically on your iPhone?” “Well come to thing of it.. it is”…”so why wouldn’t you get the latest and greatest every year sir?”..”ya know when u think of it that way you’re absolutely right”….recent conversation![]()
Wow, Apple must love you.If the only thing they did was add a way better camera, I’m in.
Huh. A pretty crappy reply for seemingly no reason. Article talks about some pretty impressive camera improvements. Coming from an iPhone 12 Pro, what they’re describing would be amazing. Considering how great the camera is already. But yeah, thanks again for the condescending reply. Have a great night!Wow, Apple must love you.
It was nothing personal. From my perspective, Apple typically does focus on camera improvements and spend quite a bit of time during their presentations going over the new camera, and very little else is emphasized as much.Huh. Yeah, an additional two hours of battery life over the already stellar battery life of the 13/13 Pro would be great.Titanium for weight reduction on the pro, then make it thicker with a bigger battery for no camera bump might make this a worthy a year over year upgrade.
No, I'd agree you're not like most people. Most people on this forum wouldn't cut someone down like that and then backhandedly say "it was nothing personal" ?. Those folks seem to get filtered out eventually. It was nothing personal. In all honesty, that is probably what most people care about when upgrading (not me, but I’m not most people). It’s a rather mature product that is destined to get relatively small changes each year compared to the early days.
Good point. I apologize for my earlier comment. Next time, I won't direct such a statement at a fellow poster. Once again, I'm sorry for the way it looked and how it made you feel. It's all about tone, and the internet doesn't capture tone at all. I did not intend any harm, just a bit of sarcasm, so I'll try to remember next time that it might not come off right online. No, I'd agree you're not like most people. Yes, Apple talks up the Camera every year. These fancy computers with the Phone & Camera Apps keep getting better and better year over year. I've compared pictures at my house taken with a 12 Pro and with a 13 and there is a difference. The level of magnitude of improvement that's rumored for the camera next year is much more impressive than any improvement we've seen in in a while, if true. And 8GB of RAM, most likely for the Pro Max version, is crazy considering how well these things perform as is.
I'm sure Apple could give two craps about me, but maybe try making it a little less obvious how much YOU care. Making comments like that but then saying "Nothing Personal".. Nobody really knows what others are going thru, and sometimes the most unambiguous comment isn't actually that at all. Have a great day!

If the rumors of 8GB of RAM are true, it’s gotta be for good reason. They could easily leave it at 4 or 6 and still keep up with the latest Android phones. Maybe an always on display for better handling of notifications, or maybe more sensors. Not just a better camera.Good point. I apologize for my earlier comment. You're right, this camera jump will be much more significant than past upgrades. I'm just hoping they surprise us with other improvements too. I'm only frustrated with the relative stagnation that we're seeing with most phones these days.
Of course, that's just an opinion of mine. Others no doubt see plenty of reasons to upgrade to the new phones. The 13 models seem to be mostly about the camera and the 14 models might be the same way. Hoping for the return of Touch ID (in addition to Face ID, not instead of it), but not sure what else would excite me.
Hopefully. Many speculated about what would change with the iPad Pros when they were given 8-16GB RAM and an M1 processor, but not much has come of it yet. It doesn't mean nothing will change, but many MacRumors members hoped big changes were coming to iPadOS this year.If the rumors of 8GB of RAM are true, it’s gotta be for good reason.
