The larger screen is still great for watching movies and viewing photos/web pages. Multi-tasking would be nice but it's not like it's exclusion is preventing users from enjoying the increased screen real estate...![]()
no doubt about itbut i don't think just a bigger screen (or battery) is enough for carrying such a huge phone in your pocket.
if i trade portability then i ask for more. definitely depends on personal preferences.![]()
Very nice phone. Portable Computer? No Way...not even close!
My Nexus 6 is a terrific Portable Computer with an authentic file system that is missing from the iPhone. As such the iPhone is a glorified app player.
Perfection will be achieved when they activate the charging port to read the USB and SD card adapters![]()
That's cool; you're entitled to your opinion. If anything needs multi-tasking, it's the iPad. The iPhone isn't marketed to replace a PC but the iPad is.
This is purely from a hardware perspective. Software can use some work and if I wanted to get real work done I would still use my rMBP.
That being said I am coming off the Christmas spirit-influenced first impressions.
imho it doesnt make any sense having such a big screen without any pen or superior multitasking capabilities.
Or switch between them. Or run 2 or 3 of them at the same time. Most smartphones, and a lot of tablets, are mostly used to launch apps.
I also always hated phablets but in the last weeks I started thinking about getting the Plus, just to test it. I now have the 6 and the 6+ at home and I have come to the following conclusion: If you want a phone, get the 6. If you want something that you can use more, as a mini laptop, then get the 6+.Ι replaced my i6 with 6+ and never looked back. I was a non-believer and hater of phablets but but but.... I just love the big screen while viewing videos, photos and playing games... its simply amazing, crystal clear and colors are more vivid than ever. I also have less yellow tint than the screen of my old iPhone 6. I think that people must understand that anything bigger than 5/5S form factor wont be easy to handle and specially in one hand mode.... so i suggest that anyone should at least try out the 6+. I also find more fun to type by holding the Plus with both of my hands....because of the bigger screen you see more stuff while capturing photos and it gives you more confidence. Its seems big but it fits without any problem in all of my jeans. If you don't have any issue while carrying the 6+ just go and buy it without regrets. I dont care if Apple will ever reduce the bezels... i only want less weight. My 6+ is almost perfect.... only issue i have is low volume during calls.... anyone else?
For the majority of everyday tasks, iOS is more than adequate. Not having a full file system etc, doesn't mean that it's any less of a computer, at all.Disagree. Apple locks down its os. Android is the real computer.
wow, where to even start with this.. no accessible file structure is massive, cloud doesn't cut it.. no proper multi tasking, such a low ram amount, 3 tabs of safari has a dicky fit.., needs a 3rd party piece of bloatware just to get stuff on and off it.. no default apps, the emailing attachments Is a joke.. can only hook it up to a pre determined machine with iTunes, screen is OK at best among the quad HD screens doing the rounds.. in a nutshell, if it didn't have the poison fruit logo on the back, it would barely get a 2nd glance...Apple has created not only the most perfect smartphone to date, but what I believe might be the ideal portable computer. It is everything a consumer could need out of a computer enveloped in a gorgeous body that feels unbelievably thin and light enough to almost not be noticed in-hand. Frankly the 6 Plus features best-in-class hardware in every aspect. From the display that has pixels so dense and packed so close to the glass that it is a small contrast boost away from being an entirely seamless window into the digital world to the system on a chip that makes the interface seem instaneous, there has never been so much done right packed into such a svelte frame. The size is also as optimal as we are going to see, with a width perfect for one-handed use and usability features that make the height a non-issue. Not only that, but the photo capabilities rival many professional cameras not necessarily in specs but in end results. With minor multi-tasking features the 6 Plus could be a fantastic computer let alone smartphone.
What amazes me the most is that the 6 Plus seems to be the iPhone to accomplish all that the iPhone and even personal computers in general set out to do. In my hands it doesn't feel like an incremental upgrade like the 4 or the 5 but the culmination of what personal computing set out to do. While it could be argued that the iPad Air accomplished the same, for its form factor the iPhone 6 Plus has fixed almost every issue (durability aside -- although that's more of a roadblock than an issue) that the iPhone hardware has ever had. There doesn't seem to be much to do at this point but to add features. It's all already been improved to the point where if this was the final iPhone to be released, that wouldn't be absolutely devastating.
Or maybe that's just the first-day Christmas spirit talking.
As fantastic as the Retina MacBook Pro and iPad Air 2 are, for my usage at least if the device is not pocketable then I do not find it portable enough to constantly carry around which adds a major plus to the 6 Plus (no pun originally intended).
poison fruit logo on the back,
The way it distorts the minds of seemingly normal folk. Theres Deffo something dark going on... LolWell, certainly no bias there...![]()
