Like I've said apple should do a voluntary recall for all affected devices. This seems like a hardware/engineering issue. Anyone insulting me is a fool as this is a real thing. And no, I'm not trolling

I didn't read through the entire thread, but have you tried a replacement phone?

The only reason you got flamed real bad is because of the way you talk. Honestly...

Just hold on to your horses for now. With the amount of chatter on the internet, Apple is surely looking into this. At least give them a bit of time to either come up with an answer or keep quiet. If they do ignore this issue, you can file a class action lawsuit.

Let's be real. Many posters here have a cult like mentality. I don't really care what people say to me as I know I'm speaking truthfully without bias. Honestly....

Apple does a voluntary recall for any issues you are having. It's called returning/replacing it.

They should announce it, because as I've stated numerous times..but when has apple taken responsibility for anything? lol. this is a hardware issue/fault that affects one of the biggest features of the phone (video/audio recording)

A bunch of us over the AU forum Whirlpool have been pestering Apple support about it, some have been put through to senior reps in the US to collect info for the engineering teams (or maybe they've just been saying so to keep people happy in the interim) who are apparently well aware that a number of people are experiencing the issue. At least for the moment Apple AU has been happy to swap phones with the issue (where there is replacement stock available - I don't think anyone has come out better off after a switch yet) or a return/refund. Of course everyone is still within the 14 day no questions return window, maybe they'll change their tune after.

They put out an announcement about replacing the batteries outside of warranty for a range of iPhone 5's when the batteries started wearing out before they should. They also replaced (with newer models) a bunch of the older iPod nano models for battery issues, I believe they're even still honouring this if you have one laying around.
