"The iPhone of Your Dreams is Reportedly Less Than Two Years Away"
I'm sure my 13 mini will survive another two years. Then the 20 mini will replace it. Cool. This made my day.
(I can dream, can't I)
No, I don't have a use case for a foldable. I don't have a use case for edge-to-edge glass. I don't have a use case for a fantastic camera with tele-support. I don't have a use case for superb AI functionality on my phone.
My use case? An up to date Apple phone which I can just use to communicate, to navigate, to pay, to open my car and to take some mediocre pictures and record some short clips as I don't always bring my Fuji X. Guess that's about it. For everything else I have my laptop, my iPad, my eReader and my Withings watch.
The 13 mini was already a great phone, even better than the runner-ups 5S and 4S. Apple killed all small phones "as there wasn't sufficient demand". But in reality, Apple just killed this market by misplaced launch decisions of the Apple Marketing. Apple surely knows how many people still use a smaller sized phone, Apple likely does not know how many people are unhappy with their larger phones, wishing they had a smaller one. I know many people do wish a smaller phone. For sure Apple does execute market research but I'm really wondering if the selected groups they interview are sufficiently representative. I fear a bias towards a rather young fashion-minded audience, and neglectance of the business audience and of seniors.
