Not rushed here!

I was lucky enough to get in on the ViPhone preorder but since I live in the middle of a state-sized cornfield (Iowa) it will probably be sometime in May or June when it finally comes in. ;) No rush here!

I got the same case for the same reason. there are so many at work who have iphone4 and black cases or black bumpers. I wanted something that was a lil different and set mine apart.

My dad got this same case. He loves it.

Im going naked lol. Actually I will be using skins with invisible shields until I find a bumper/case I like/

It's 45 minutes from my house and it's driving me crazy!!

wont get your v-iphone until Monday

My latest and greatest update for getting my iphone isnt going to make any of you feel any better about getting yours, but at least you will be able to let yourself down easy.

I tracked my package all the way up to the UPS store that is .9 miles away from my house. So, I see that it has a customer service desk and if they were open I should be able to get it. Siiiiigh, here is the sad part. I get up there and the customer service desk is locked up tight. There are "no trespassing" and "authorized personnel only" signs up on the gate. Well in order to not make any of the guys that could be helping out mad I sit out there for a few minutes. I figure if I am going to be antsy about getting it I could do it there in the parking lot just as easy as I could do it at the house. After about 20 minutes or so a guy walks out. He doesnt look to be irritated or anything, so I started to tell him my story. "I know I have a package in here and didnt think that it would make it on the truck today, and just wanted to see if there was anything we could do to see about getting it." He takes me in back to his office and we look it up in the computer. He said, "yep, its here, but it will not be able to be accessed until Monday morning." He also said that since it was next day air that I would have it by noon on Monday, unless I wanted to call the UPS 1-800 number to have them hold it there onsite; that way I could pick it up at 9 when the customer desk opened up.

There is my story. It looks like that no one will have it this weekend since Fedex isnt even working and UPS wont open the crates or whatever until Monday.

......And here I was thinking that it was possible that I would/could be the first person to activate their new iphone, but I have a feeling that the eastern time folks will be the first ones able to get their iphones.

I went with the Speck Fitted case. Really drawn to the fact that it has a fabric backing. Very unique compared to many of the cases I've seen out there.

I had this case... it didn't last too long before one of the catches that hold it together broke. I replaced it with a Speck Candyshell - Moonsicle White and must say it's a much better case. Luckily the Amazon seller sent me the new case free once I'd let them know what had happened with the original. I don't see the Candyshell for the V model though.

I already have my AT&T iPhone 4, but just wanted to chime in and say that I'm kinda jealous of you all who get to wait anxiously for yours to get there. That anticipation is awesome. I'm hoping like hell that we do get iPhone 5 this summer so I can experience it again myself. It's a little like a friggin' drug. :p

Its not uncommon for this to happen :). UPS/FedEx does this a lot quite often (usually for expensive stuff I have ordered might I add) in the experiences I have had with them. I talked with a Fedex customer service rep about this matter and she also informed me that even if the package theoretically arrived today, I would not be able to pick it up until Monday or after an attempt by them to deliver it.

Like I said it's not uncommon for them to this, I don't know why I even bothered to call them if I have had this experience with them before, stubborn side of me I guess lol. I pretty much expected none of us to get our phones till monday :)

Yeah, thats just retarded though. They said that it was in an "air container" and it would not even be opened until Monday. So much for supposed "next day air."

I just received my Power Support screen protectors from J&R (Amazon) so the timing couldn't be any better.

Anyone pick up the Belkin high gloss case from Verizon? I was going to stop by there today and check it out.

It's next business day. Saturday Delivery is different, and not something Verizon picked up the tab on.

Just be happy it's coming Monday and not Thursday.

Remember each hub is probably receiving a TON of them, and on top of that they have normal daily traffic. It's packed away with hundreds of other packages. They're not small containers. They need to start breaking them down Sunday night for Monday delivery. They're not going to go through it piece by piece for a single package until it's time.

It is, but at the same time, our iphones are probably in some big containers with other iphones, i doubt they want to open it up and start looking for them for just one person especially when they are going to have to do it within the next couple of days anyways.

Look at this way, last week we were all expecting to have to wait till Wednesday/Thursdays for our phones, we got a surprise and its coming on Monday instead!

Im happy for that :D

Yeah, yall are right. Still doesnt make it any better for me though. I am just going to have to find something to scratch my new toy itch until then. Thats the hardest part.

There's nothing to be upset about. Nor is it correct to blame the carriers. They are working for the customer that pays them. That's Apple & Verizon. Apple has the upper hand in every business relationship they have. They are clever & smart. My guess is that Apple decided they wanted the first wave of phones delivered on Monday. We all know how well orchestrated Apple is. So we will get them on Monday.

I'm still as happy as a clam though. I was expecting with all the anticipation and from the way the previous iPhone 4 launch went that I would have to wait weeks for my delivery, and all I could hope for was to get it just in time before I left on another road trip on the 11th. Now it looks like I'll get it 4 days earlier than that. :D

Ups will show on truck for delivery or out for delivery. In transit means it going from one place to another.

SO mine is shipping through UPS and it says this:

Scheduled Delivery Updated To:
Monday, 02/07/2011, by 10:30 A.M. (by end of day for residential deliveries)

I assume this means that it will be delivered by the end of the day? Is before 10:30 just businesses? I will be home at the end of the day but not at 10:30.

Mine is being delivered to my residence and it just says "by 10:30." It may depend on where you live and the UPS service there.

The gentlemen I spoke with at UPS yesterday told me that it would be no later than noon. I think 10:30 is more of a guideline and he told me noon just in case there was some sort of hang-up that prevented it from being here by the 10:30 time estimated. I dunno though, just speculating...........
