Ill post pics of it using my MBP when I get home...

I don't mean to not believe you, I suppose anything is possible. But I do work for UPS, so how is it possible that you liberated your iPhone from a UPS facility on a Sunday when the customer counter is closed?

Cool - can't wait! I'm getting mine Tuesday it looks like :(

Mine is being delivered to my residence and it just says "by 10:30." It may depend on where you live and the UPS service there.

I think they put that just in case it's a busy day and the amount of deliveries makes a 10:30 delivery difficult for residential.

The iPhone is a perfect example. If there's 10,000 coming through your hub, and let's say 100 at your local UPS. That means drivers need to deliver 100 of those by 10:30am, otherwise, and still deliver the normal overnights coming in. It's just too much to guarantee a 10:30am delivery so they toss it in so they have a buffer.

I live in Atlanta. They usually have a morning delivery and an afternoon delivery in my area. Still says by 10:30. I hope it holds true.

Mine says the same thing.

Scheduled Delivery:
Monday, 02/07/2011, by 10:30 A.M.

I figure most likely between 9:30 and noon. That's the usual, anyways, when I've had overnight packages.

Finally, I got it. Got it about 0930 central time through normal UPS delivery. It is going through an update already though. Is updating from iOS 4.2.5 to 4.2.6. Its was kind of neat during the activation because instead of activating normally by calling the number or hitting 228 from the phone; the activation took place through iTunes. Was really pretty painless. Have yet to use the mobile backup for my contacts though. Once the update is complete then I will get right on that. :D

Yes, that was pretty much it. Just plug like an iPod and follow the instructions. The update is finally complete and I am now attempting to transfer my contacts. You will have to download the mobile transfer app from the store.

I got mine this morning at 10 AM.
Sitting pretty on my desk at work and I am waiting until later tonight when I get home to activate it.

sweet.. mobile transfer app? what does that do trasfer contacts I assume?

Yes, transfers all of your existing contacts that you have on the Mobile Backup from your old phone.

***NOTE: When you are attempting to use your contact transfer make sure that you are on the Verizon network. Meaning, you are going to have to turn off you WiFi at your house or whatever in order for it to go through. Took me a good 10 minutes of network errors to figure it out.

Mine is on the truck for delivery. It's being shipped to my office and they usually arrive around 9:30

Now the big question, do I set up as new or back up from my ATT iPhone 4?

Thats a pretty obvious answer.. I would never setup a new iPhone from a backup. Especially when switching carriers! GO clean!

Just received mine.

Activation through iTunes was quick and easy. Took just a few mins. It's activated, and we're good to go.

Sync'ing music now. Then going to JB it via Greenpois0n so I can customize it's look/feel a little bit more.

So nice to finally be here!

do you HAVE to use iTunes to activate? or can you do it with *228. reason is Im separated from my MacBook for a couple days and I'm due to get the iPhone today, and I dont want to have to wait..

Probably a good idea. I've always set up previous iPhone from backup but since I switched carriers, I'll just go clean.
