Yeah this is a great game, I've been playing very little lately, I just got addicted to Elite Beat Agents on Sweatin' (man JJF is so friggin hard) and Pokemon Diamond.

I haven't even touched some of my games!

I not only recommend Zelda Phantom Hourglass but the DS as a system is just such a great little handheld with great addicting games.

Once I get the remaining gems I'll go through the last door to beat the game. :)

My favorite DS game is Dawn of Sorrow, but this one is definitely up there and has its own charm, and it's one of my all time favorite games. Tis why I'm savoring every moment. I WANT MORE OF THESE!!! :)

I'm going to get Dawn of Sorrow as well, I loved the GBA games but probably not for a while, I have a lot to play right now with Pokemon, let alone Zelda, EBA, Dementium and others.

I'm just into PH but have also beat DoS at 100%...I like all the different endings and the different modes you can play. Really nice touch. Reminds me of a hand held more advanced version of Simon's Quest. I do wish they could pump out more games like this. If we had one or two like this a month... :D

That feather stylus looks pretty neat but highly impractical  I guess it would be a cool collector's item.

Exactly. :) I also ordered the free Wiimote silicon skins, but probably won't used them.

Now all I need is a gold DS Lite with the Zelda emblem on it and I'm set. I saw a picture of one. I personally like Black the best though.

All you have to do is register Z:pH and take a quick survey and this glorious piece of plastic can be yours. :)

I still have my old DS also. I'll eventually get a new DS Lite, but like my ancient iPod, it still works, so I'm not pressed to get one. But I love everything about the new DSs. The screen always WOWS me.

The screen is great, even playing at the second level of brightness is enough for me.

The only thing I don't like about the DS Lite is the flimsy d-pad and the weak feel of the shoulder buttons but otherwise it's a greatly built console.

I now started playing Mario Kart and I haven't even finished Zelda PH (I'm close to finishing Dementium though and I've given up on EBA) so I'll be getting Dawn of Sorrow soon/

The color saturation level is great when compared to mine. It's night and day. One of the reasons I haven't jumped yet, is that my hands are a bit larger and playing the DS L brought on a bit of cramping. That and I like to use thing till they drop dead.

I'm going to wait a bit longer, but I'm getting antsy about picking one up. If I hadn't figured out how to fix my DS's shoulder button by blowing in it, I would be playing on a black one right now.

Mario Kart is such an awesome game. Months upon months of fun came from that game. C: DoS consumed me for about a months solid. The second C:poR is also great, but it takes more time to get into, at least for me.

I've gone online to help find the remaining gems for Zelda. I was hesitant of doing this at first, but I'm glad I did, because at least one of he gems that iI sought out was buried in obscure places. I only need one Wisdom gem now and 3 Courage gems.

How is this game for practicing a foreign language?

Would I be able to play it and for the most part understand what's going on and what to do?

I saw JackAxe say on another thread the game itself was pretty easy so that's encouraging.

I think so. I really don't have that experience to say for sure, but Nintendo made this game to be playable by a wide range of ages, so as a whole this is probably why it's too easy.

The dialogue is simple. Most of the clues that are listed are visual, others are simple riddles on signs. If you've played any other Zeldas, this will have lots of familiarities.

ZP's review came in almost a week ago :p and I haven't played enough to know if he's right. But the chap it was funny regardless!

Thanks. I guess I didn't think about it being for all ages including young kids. I think I'll pick this up.

Lets put it this way. If one can read this forum or a similar forum in another language they'd be more than capable of playing the game. There are a few parts where the language could trip you up as they'll make you repeat answers till you choose right...like saying do you want to journey and you need to say yes or do you want to help us until you say ok.

The ZP review is freaking hilarious. :D

I was also embarrassed about yelling at my DS, but as for returning over and over to the dungeon, I didn't mind it since I was kind of milking this game anyway for all it could offer. And what I liked, is that Nintendo put in plenty of shortcuts, but of course you would have to be into the game to find them.

Speaking of annoying, that stupid banner on the bottom sucks! It covers up his content.

I'm tempted to buy this game but I'm horrible at puzzles and am likely to get frustrated and give up quickly LOL
