I'm contemplating a Joli sleeve for when I want to chuck my Air in a bigger bag (think I'd go for black and green too). At the moment I'm using the Ally Capellino AO iPad satchel which I really like.

It's expensive but great quality and holds enough to be a practical bag for day to day use. And the colour is great. It seems to go with everything (admittedly I do pretty much live in jeans).

I am deliberating with myself repeatedly about ordering a Muzetto.... anyone have a bad experience or good one to share that might sway me one way or the other?

I have the portable sized muzetto and love it. Bought it for my iPad a few years ago and it fits my 11" air perfectly, also just ordered the air smart case the other day, it should partner well with the muzetto for great traveling safety.

The leather is top notch and the inside gold fabric they use is awesome for visibility. I can't recommend sfbags more, love their stuff! I have the muzetto, a wallet, a psvita sleeve, and now my smart case, I'm a bit addicted...

mulholland

i have recommendation for a bag, not sleeve. got this bag for father's day:

very nice, thick, bridle/saddle leather, will outlast the owner type stuff. inside pocket on the back is 13.5x9 so fits the macbook air perfectly.

muzetto

i bought my wife the small one that fits an iPad. she liked it ok, but it wasn't big enough for her as a work bag -- she likes being to have a water bottle and some snacks, sandwiches, etc.

so i bought her a 13" sized muzetto which she uses daily and likes a lot. she'll still use the smaller muzetto on trips as a purse, but it's slim size does make it limiting if you want to carry more stuff.

it is definitely well constructed and the leather is good quality -- almost suede like, not shiny/smooth in case you're wondering. it's a very lightweight bag as well.

considered one for myself for my mba 11" -- was interested in the vertical orientation. but my trusty timbuk2 commuter small was just perfect for the mba 11 - nice padded section that meant no need for a sleeve.

recently moved to a 13" mba (love it! big bright screen and amazing battery life). and thought it'd be nice to add a more formal/leather bag to the collection.

i prefer thicker/stouter leather (favorite jacket is a horsehide aero highwayman) so really like the mulholland messenger i got for father's day. it's a big deeper/thicker than i need but i appreciate the space on days i need to carry more papers, misc items to/from work.

I love this sleeve since there are no zippers or magnets to potentially scratch the MBA when you put it in the case or remove it. Looks very sleek with the red stitching too. Amazing case.

I hope it isn't against forum rules, when it pertains to the thread topic, to mention my own sleeve brand — Cocones.

They're made of 100% Merino Wool and genuine leather. We have just launched new colourways this week.

i got an incase sling sleeve, it was on sale via amazon for nearly half off. its nice, does the job. it protects fine, has a place to put charge cable and other small things you may need in compartment on the front.

I would love a black and tan one to sample ;)

These look great.

I just got the Knomo Bungo leather messenger bag and Knomo leather envelope sleeve for my new MacBook Air. Both in black.

Both will replace what I had on the 2nd post of this thread.

the knomo stuff looks 1st rate. i may get one of their sleeves...

slide the mba 13" into an old neoprene sleeve i had laying around from my black macbook 13" and with the sleeve it fits in the mulholland messenger just barely. so now i just need to find the perfect sleeve...

Well the EasyAcc sleeve arrived. Obviously I don't have an Air to put into it but my first impressions are.. I looks nice from a few feet away but on close inspection you can tell it's "synthetic leather" especially at the edges / seams where it looks like brown plastic. It does feel like soft real leather. It's not very sturdy as it bends under it's own weight width-ways, so not much protection offered by the case. The inner seems to be a soft chamois leather style material which I doubt it will cause any marks on the Air. The magnetic clasp seems nice, easy to open and not too snappy.

All in all I think it seems a bit cheaply made for the price they charge. I paid £8.50 for a case made of the same stuff for my kindle - so I would say this is worth max £18.. not the £23 I paid.

Having said that, it will do what I want, keep my Air semi protected when I put it in my bag with all my other stuff and when I've paid the Air off I'll get a Joli or similar real leather one ;)

Hope that helps,

Garf

Quick update - I put the same review on the Amazon page, and they have offered me a £5 refund to take it down to what I thought it was worth. Can't say fairer than that really!

I got a Thule Gauntlet for my 13" MBA.

I needed some level of waterproofing because I commute on a motorbike.

The case is light, strong and kept my Air dry inside a Timbuk2 messenger during a Typhoon when other stuff got wet.

I like the 'Apple blue' lining, too.

Uh, that seems extremely dishonest to me. They are bribing you to get rid of any negative or neutral reviews. Definitely a company to avoid.
Edit: Oops, reading comprehension fail. I thought you said they bribed you to take the review down.

I just ordered this case (http://www.etsy.com/listing/89288680/monogram-napa-leather-case-for-macbook) for my new 13" air. It's a little more than I normally pay for a case, about $85 shipped, but it's hand made in Palo Alto and the leather looks beautiful. He also has the option to emboss your name on it, or have no logos at all. I'll make sure to report back when I have it in my hands :D

I bought this as a gift. It's lovely leather and a nice firm fit, I had a sneaky test before wrapping :)

For myself I went with a simple Crumpler Fug (well for now....)

Since I have to alternate between traveling with a Lenovo T430s, a 13" Macbook Air and sometimes the pair of them together I opted for a combination of a "Property Of..." Tommy Work Bag to hold them both and a D.Bramante sleeve for my Macbook Air.
