Wow, that Joli sleeve looks fantastic. Not too expensive either.

Don't have any tips for similar, cheaper sleeves unfortunately, but a nice, sturdy sleeve for 400 DKK doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

Isn't it? Well, the 64 euro price isn't that bad in itself, but if I want to get it to Norway the import taxes almost double the price, which sucks to say the least...

I've had the Bookbook case for my 2010 MBA11 since soon after I bought the MBA. My only complaint is I have to keep pushing the MBA up into the top of the Bookbook. It keeps sliding down.

Anyone else have this problem? Any solution?

I'm looking for a bag to contain my 11" MBA, an ipad in its smart case (which I have to say I really don't like but its thinner than any others I own) a notebook and pens and such. It needs to be quite discrete and professional. I definitely do not want a messenger bag or a bag that only has a messenger style strap. Has anybody found or use something similar?

I really like some of the stuff from Cocoon (Grid-It) but the cost of shipping and import tax to the UK is extortionate...

looking though here I didn't see to many hard cases. I was interested in the Speck Seethru Satin for MacBook Air 13 but just read all the bad reviews. Plus im not sure it would fit the new MacBook Airs.

Has anyone tried the Speck Seethru Satin for MacBook Air 13 or know of something thats better?

I just bought this

SALISBURY

Article-No. 8911
Briefcase 2 Compartments

http://www.leonhard-heyden.info/en/html/reg_03/index.html

It looks even better in real life and the leather looks, smells and feels great.

There is a thin padded compartment at the back that can fit an iPad or up to a 13" MBA.

Any regular dude like messenger bags? Nothing leather, as that's a little too classy to pull off as a college student :p

Well I really liked the Joli sleeve but they're very expensive (I'll probably get one later when I'm not still reeling from purchasing the Air itself).

So I bought one of these

Cost me £26 including delivery vs £70 for the Joli - it arrives tomorrow so I'll let you guys know what it's like (air doesn't arrive for another week lol so I'll have to do some pretending!)

£26 is expensive for PVC/Plastic.

I am deliberating with myself repeatedly about ordering a Muzetto.... anyone have a bad experience or good one to share that might sway me one way or the other?

I just ordered this case (http://www.etsy.com/listing/89288680/monogram-napa-leather-case-for-macbook) for my new 13" air. It's a little more than I normally pay for a case, about $85 shipped, but it's hand made in Palo Alto and the leather looks beautiful. He also has the option to emboss your name on it, or have no logos at all. I'll make sure to report back when I have it in my hands :D
I almost bought that one instead of the Joli, so I'd be interested to see what you think of it.

Any chance you could upload some pics?

Looking at getting it myself.

I have the bungo bag and have to say knomo rocks! I will be buying the knomo sleeve when I get my MBA.
Husband has the bigger Kilkenny too, both look as good as the day they were bought.
Much as I get the impression those folks in the US like to support SF, it's nice to support a company in the UK (probably still made in china though lol)

I decided I finally need a Macbook Air case...been through most of this thread, but a lot of expensive options have been posted.

I've been looking for either a decent looking leather option (like the Joli/Etsy one someone posted above with felt on the inside) that either has velcro or just open like that (no buttons yuck)

Or a wool/felt one. I saw a lot on Etsy but I'm afraid of buying them because there are no reviews and I'm worried about quality

Budget is around $50...but if it's real quality I might go up a bit.

SOmething like this would be perfect, because of the iPad sleeve, but it looks kind of lame, but not too bad. http://www.etsy.com/listing/9647112...=0&ga_max=0&ga_page=6&ga_search_type=handmade

Any suggestions?

Well the EasyAcc sleeve arrived. Obviously I don't have an Air to put into it but my first impressions are.. I looks nice from a few feet away but on close inspection you can tell it's "synthetic leather" especially at the edges / seams where it looks like brown plastic. It does feel like soft real leather. It's not very sturdy as it bends under it's own weight width-ways, so not much protection offered by the case. The inner seems to be a soft chamois leather style material which I doubt it will cause any marks on the Air. The magnetic clasp seems nice, easy to open and not too snappy.

All in all I think it seems a bit cheaply made for the price they charge. I paid £8.50 for a case made of the same stuff for my kindle - so I would say this is worth max £18.. not the £23 I paid.

Having said that, it will do what I want, keep my Air semi protected when I put it in my bag with all my other stuff and when I've paid the Air off I'll get a Joli or similar real leather one ;)

Hope that helps,

Garf

Briefcase for MacBook Air - Happy Owl Studio

I'll be honest, I didn't read through the whole thread so this might have been posted already. My apologies if it has.
