Dont want any new features - want them to fix the million broken things they got going.

Like when using Danish keyboard it dont suggest words on top it suggest Apps for some strange reason, and the space is roughly 1,5 times larger than the word suggestion area, so you keep on hitting it and launching app store when ever you try to type a message

Or you know siri that works like crap "call Bryno" Siri; Calling "Morten B." (contract is Bryno M.)

Or you now Hey siri set timer 45 min... Siri : Timer for 37 min set.

Or the frequent lock up of camera, or whole phone, just black screen not desponding for like 10-20 sek (iPhone 13 pro)

Or fix Continuity Camera, that will NEVER start for me.

Or fix the Assign back tap function - only work 30% of the time... and would activate all the time when driving, so you got a huge magnifying glass over your Map and it would be near impossible to get rid off.

Or fix that when ever i press play on my earphones there is a 50 / 50 chance that it will start Apple Music, that i NEVER use intentionally, and have NEVER used intentionally - but no no no i wont start the app you paused all of 10 seconds ago and continue the play.

or the siri suggestion on screen when i connect my Earphones... always apple Music as the biggest, never my "story tell" app that I use for hours each day (while on bike to and from work)

Or the lagging Note app - when you have a checklist with more than 50 items, it is laggy and keeps skipping up / down when you try to scroll

Also just make Siri more useful like Alexa or Google - Hey siri how does a lion sound "I found this on the Web" ... Both Alexa and Google will play the sound of a lion. or Hey Siri "how fare away is the moon" ... im sorry i cant do that for you but i can search the net... WHAT ?

Prioritise Wifi networks (like you used to be able to on MacOS)
Better default photo editing options.
Remove the home bar.
Rearrange icons to where I want. (Unlock the grid)
Better notifications. (Android just feels so much better for this)
Open the OS up a bit/lot - Example I'd love Facebook Messenger to be able to have Chatheads like on Android and the Mac)
Lots of improvements to the notes app.
Multitasking. No excuse now, Samsung has it nailed and is fantastic.
Speed up the animations. (Or allow us to select a speed, like on Android) The Face ID is particularly annoying.
Number row on the keyboard - and maybe some size options for the keys. I always seem to.type.like.this.and.its.annoying!.
Complete customisation of the control centre - again Android/Samsung have this nailed.
Real default apps and let other browsers be browsers, not wrapped in some weird Safari clone.
A clipboard and longer holding of copied files.
More alarm clock options, like a batch set or something?
Ability to see the seconds on the time in the clock app, I shouldn't have to Google 'Time in seconds'! Unless you can already do it, I can't find it.

Oh heck, theres a 1000 more but I can't be bothered to write anymore!

90% of interactions moved to the bottom third of the screen, universal Android back gesture, place icons anywhere, control centre moved to multitasking screen and notifications also.
sooooo... and android?

What power users want? Android with an iOS experience :) All the enhancements and customizations android offers but with apple polish.

More like, "because they are building an AR version of Mail, the Mail team isn't adding smart folders to iOS until next year".

Apple has tons of shockingly tiny software teams.

How small?

Yep, dynamic island is IMHO a new line of thought on notifications to also include 'backgrounded' active tasks. The current incarnation is built to take advantage of the oblong hole-punch, but if the hole goes away down the road they can decide to offer more dynamism.

Yes. Nice to see another visionary🫡

I imagine it fading in and out like it does now but completely when not in use.

Homebar wart?

The Homebar is like an ugly wart on the tip of someone’s nose, it’s always there, impossible to ignore.

We’ve had the thing for 5 years now, nobody needs that big ugly bright bar to remind them how to close an app. It’s jarring and not Apple-like at all. It blocks content in video games and other apps especially in landscape mode, Safari keeps it on all the time no matter what, they need to remove it once and for all.

Almost certainly not under consideration. Widgets are basically static pictures generated by the underlying application several times a day in the background, which is then killed off. There's nothing to interact with. Interaction requires starting the program, which is why they chose to have taps run the program in the foreground.

I don’t get this, the old widgets were interactive, you can’t even change a music track without opening the app.

There's an awful lot there. Some of this (icons w/o shortcuts) just won't happen as long as Apple is the only one who could built that UX. 90%+ of customers wouldn't use this, and some percentage of them would shoot themselves in the foot by accidentally triggering it.

They could give us a developer mode like Android where we can do these things, I feel like as much as we pay for our phones we should have a lot more control over them.

I'm sure they are taking suggestions 🤣

I hope so! I think they are on the right path with the summary since it looks much better to the eye than just an endless row of notifications. I honestly am out of ideas for notifications but maybe making them more “intelligent” and better arranged like Android would be a good start. My Android phone gives you so much more information than iOS in notification’s it truly makes the iPhone seem not so “smart” after all.

it is actually there for multitasking, swiping between apps. I don’t think another app switching gesture is necessary though, so would be happy to see the home bar go.

- Spoof call filtering
- Limit battery charge manually (E.g. charge to 90% by 7.30 am. Optimised charging never gets it right for me.)
- Environmental noise dependant alert volume. (Or at least profiles like we had 100 yrs ago. e.g. Noisy, Silent, etc.)
- Old (iOS12) style magnifier to correctly position the cursor (since iOS 12 the magnifier is there, but doesn't magnify).

I'd love to see an user-defined option to let your incoming calls from another iPhone default to FaceTime Audio, which I find to be a superior sounding call all around. Obviously, both the sender and receiver would have to have that option enabled.

* When in a text field in Safari, add the tab switching icon to the bar above the keyboard (where the “Done” button is)
* a shortcut in the tab switching icon to be able to quickly go back and forth between two tabs
* text selection/context menu which actually works. I don’t understand how it is so easy on Android and completely unusable on iOS
* correct palm detection on the Lock Screen when the iPhone is used with a case. How many times have I found my iPhone with the flash light or camera on unintentionally… or maybe takes presses on those buttons while in your pocket (when you fish the phone out of it). Probably both.
* a way to be able to spell something to Siri.
* make it more obvious when the spell checker “corrected” something (so you can notice when it “corrects” something it shouldn’t have.
* when the camera detects a QR Code but can’t interpret it, let me view/copy the text.
* when adjusting the volume, if you touch the volume bar to adjust it, it grows to the left. That means that if you were at the first volume level, you suddenly end up at level 2 or 3 (when what you wanted it go at a fractional level between 0 and 1, and the only way to get there is via touch…)
* move the volume bar so that when you try to touch it you don’t get the Notification Center instead.
