I want to get my news from as independent and trusted source as possible. Corporate media is the death ward of journalism. Apple News/+ is too sanitized.

Not only that, the only things on there that are actual news come from Reuters or AP. Everything else is just advertisements, advertisements thinly veiled as articles, celebrity news, or requires a further subscription (like the rest of WSJ, only some of it is on Apple News)

Oh also and every single article is absolutely plastered with ads on top of the subscription price.

News is probably one my most used apps - why would you not want to see whats going on in the world? Genuinely curious. I like it that it aggregates lots of good sources together in one app.. otherwise I'd be typing in various websites in Safari - or worse yet, be lazy and only get news from a single source (which is always, always bad)
the problem is - through who’se eyes is the news coming, what is their agenda. regardless of your own political persuasion- its hard to get news uncolored by the agenda of the publisher.

its very easy to miss that agenda and be misled.

I wish there was a ‘I have no family’ option in the top tier. I can see it works when shared but for one person it’s too much.

Sorry but Apple Music from a collectors perspective is the biggest pile of %^%^ - since apple said they would streamline iTunes! and did the opposite! the number of hours Ive spent sorting out libraries, synching, resynching, sorting out error 54 issues - I have 21000 tracks in my library and Apple Music can't cope - so much so Ive moved across to Roon! I've had enough of finding "the correct" album covers, trying to stop Music from splitting albums and refining meta data - as for the rest of the services News, Arcade and Fitness I never used so I cancelled them - hugely disappointed at the moment in Apple and Apple One as a very long term customer.

Yeah, my family has no interest in any of this stuff and the individual tier is pretty limited. I wish we could get parallel pricing, one for individuals and one for families, like Apple Music.

Let’s us bundle own plans, I want the fitness and Apple Music without the news , and arcade
Would be nice, but unlikely to happen. Apple don't want to give you a bundle discount for services you would have paid for anyway!

The point of Apple One is to prop up the subscriber numbers of unpopular services (News+) by including them with the services you actually want.

I too love apple news!!
Best Propaganda around!! 😂

Gotta say, love this website, been a follower for years. Yet, these shows are boring and tedious. One guys talking, the other is on his phone...whats the point?

What else could it be besides "Boring and Tedious" Talking about a Company that thinks adding More Emoji's is Progress and a Website that drives Apple Fans with talk about the Emoji's!! 😂

They should include Apple Care+ for bundled services. I'm paying a fortune in apple care for all my devices, Apple Music and cloud. I would love News+ but can't afford another hike. Out until prices go down or value goes up.

Apple One is unmatched anywhere and has a lot to offer some folks, but it's not for me. The only ones I subscribe to are Apple TV+ and iCloud+. Apple TV+ is the only one that doesn't have less expensive alternatives. And it's worth it for the quality of the original programming! But I don't see myself subscribing to Music, Fitness or Arcade plus. Maybe if Apple were to offer a discounted annual subscription. I really don't like monthly payments.

I might have to cancel my Apple One and only take Apple Music as Apple One is getting too expensive.

Amazon Prime? Did I miss that? I would be very surprised if Dan didn’t pay for that too 😄

not for me, i wish apple news was part of the standard plan. i use it as got it free for 6 months and really enjoy the extra content but not 9.99 good. So I would likely remove it when the trial ends.

I wanted to cancel but when I looked at individual services that I use:
Apple Music family plan £15.99
iCloud storage £9.99
Apple TV+ (£9.99)

Sometimes Apple News+. It was more cost effective to keep the premier plan. Even though I’m not happy about the price hike.

I really wish you could opt out of things. Apple news is what increased the price the most and apple news is not a service I see value in. I would gladly give up news to go back to the old price.

Never happening.

Some of these services would have very low subscriber numbers if they were not being bundled in with more popular services.

Easy. Because most "news" out there is either blatantly biased or outright false.

I have cancelled TV plus last week due to the price hike. My salary is not increasing at the speed of streaming services price hikes. Sorry, not sorrry.
Sadly, Apple's services are now way overpriced. I only subscribe to 2 services now (Apple Music and iCloud+) and I'm considering switching to alternatives.
