Justine is one of the most influential tech YouTubers and has had a chance to test out the M2 MacBook Air for almost a week. In this episode, we talk through the M2 MacBook Air's most important features and upgrades, including its design, display, color options, webcam, four-speaker setup, and more.

We discuss how the new machine faces up to full-time use, compare it to the M1 MacBook Air, and consider who it is targeted toward. We also look at the SSD controversy associated with base model configurations of the M2 MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro, and consider where the MacBook Air could be headed next, with rumors of a larger model with a 15.2-inch display and M2 and M2 Pro chip options on the horizon for early 2023.

I respect what she does, but I do wish she would see the flaws and not think everything is amazing, even talking about the studio display she said I love that display and there isn't any issues, she just can't ever say one thing is bad, that's why she can't be trusted for reviews

I got the moonlight basic level because everything else sold out before the store even opened. I love the color, it is more of a rich dark blue than a black but in certain lighting it looks black. I am not seeing as many finger prints as reported yet. This keyboard is one of the highlights. Love it. I got the 10 core coming next week I'll keep which ever works better for my needs. The notch was annoying at first, but I put on a dark wallpaper and now I don't see it at all.

The notch needs to go.
There’s more than plenty enough space to fit the camera on the borders.
Personally, I'm amazed, have you reached out to the engineers at Apple? You've clearly figured out something they didn't and know for a fact that the camera equipment can go without a notch. Seriously dude, congratulations, you really need to let Apple know!

Really considering the M2 MBA, as I don't hit the heavy workloads quite as much as I used to. Seems like it will edit my occasional 1080p videos just fine, especially since I currently have a 2017 MBP.

I wonder how it will handle a real time rendering engine like U-render once they release the Mac version. The m1 isn't a complete slouch, and the M2 with the upgraded GPU has got to be decent enough for simple 3d mograph.

Also I think my company will more readily pay for a M2 MBA with 10 core GPU, 24 GB of ram, and t1b hard drive. It ain't cheap, but it's cheaper than the 14 inch MBP.

It seemed like she was generally happy with it and pretty surprised by how capable it was while doing video editing. She edited her entire unboxing video on battery and said that while the bottom was warm it didn't cause any throttling or lagging. She didn't mention the 256GB because she was reviewing the 1TB model, and ironically when talking about storage her Air told her that she had run out of space due to all her big video files.

Oh wow I see how this has become an iJustine bashing thread.

I look forward to seeing her excitement for the new MBA.
Why? She's going to be excited and go on and on about how awesome and amazing it is without providing ANY surface-level insight. I'm not a "hater" and generally avoid anything to do with her "content" but it's mostly paid advertisements from someone people like to look at. There are far more in-depth people online that deserve time.

She has a lot of excitement for it. I like that she is a positive person.
Posting the same benchmarks that everyone posts is boring and irrelevant to actual real world use; I like that she talks about how it did with her workflow which is video editing. In a tech world full of jaded people I like that she gets excited about using these things. If I want hard numbers I'll get them from a different source.
