She filled a 1TB drive with the FCP project she was discussing during her review, why would she bother reviewing a tiny drive she simply wouldn't use. The things she would use a base model for wouldn't really show issues related to the slower SSD.Did a single one of these shills receive one of the crippled 256GB SSD models for review?
Even if they did - they won't "trash" them, unlike credible reviewers (Max Tech, Miani etc). On the contrary...Did a single one of these shills receive one of the crippled 256GB SSD models for review?
You really think Apple would provide review units to the likes of Luke Miani? (And I don't even mention Max Tech.) HIGHLY unlikely. She got it the same way that the Verge, for example, does, by having a lot of people who watch/read her reviews.
How is it crippled? Seriously? How? Have you seen ANY real-world examples from real people using the machine? If you're talking about professionals then why are they getting 256GB in the first place?Did a single one of these shills receive one of the crippled 256GB SSD models for review?
There were some comments here that were (rightfully) moderated since, OP was referring to them. Some of these were definitely hateful. Your comment is a fair critic of her work, and I agree with it.Why? She's going to be excited and go on and on about how awesome and amazing it is without providing ANY surface-level insight. I'm not a "hater" and generally avoid anything to do with her "content" but it's mostly paid advertisements from someone people like to look at. There are far more in-depth people online that deserve time.
My apple stock thanks her for her work.Should read "iJustine is one of the most influential Mac Shill YouTubers"
I could have commented on her content but, I did that in another thread. I chose to say something good about her apart from the other.Posting the same benchmarks that everyone posts is boring and irrelevant to actual real world use; I like that she talks about how it did with her workflow which is video editing. In a tech world full of jaded people I like that she gets excited about using these things. If I want hard numbers I'll get them from a different source.
Max Tech is very good. Tells it like it is. Says it's good when it's good.Or any other (as opposed to Apple shills like iJustine) credible YouTubers like Miani, Ziskind, Max Tech etc.
I was agreeing with you. I also like that she's positive about technology.I could have commented on her content but, I did that in another thread. I chose to say something good about her apart from the other.
because you can have smaller bezels and put the camera in the bezel like dell doesWow... People want edge to edge screens... No bezels. See it written all the time... Apples response is a small notch. Now the same people want bezels back. Damned if you do damned if you don't.
I used an M1 Macbook Air and could do all the coding I needed which I don't consider to be anything but light. At the end of the day, it’s the ‘MacBook Air’, it was never intended to be a target for video editing, photography and DAW machine. This the machine you use for Word, edit those vacation videos, catch up on email, maybe a light coding, maybe a few scripts, listen to streaming music, watch YouTube on, walk around the yard or the house with and admire for its thin design.
If you want a mobile workstation, Apple has the 14 and 16 inch. Like this has been repeated tirelessly on the forum.
I do think Apple needs to have a middle ground machine though. A 15 inch MacBook Pro with the MacBook Air design for 1,799 with a fan for doing a little bit more. It would be awkward with the Air. But for those who just want mag safe, larger screen, it would be a great value. Yes, it would cannibalize the 16 and 14 inch.
I don’t really care about the notch being there, but what really seems strange about it is that it’s a design language taken from the iPhone, that from the leaks seems like it is going away or at least changing. So why would the laptop team use this look, if it’s a short-term thing? I’ll answer my own question - the notch design was supposed to contain FaceID hardware, but chip shortages drove availability issues and costs higher, which forced Apple to drop the idea…for now.The notch needs to go.
There’s more than plenty enough space to fit the camera on the borders.
Dell has a 720p camera, Apple has a 1080p camera. Probably easier to fit a smaller webcam in a tiny bezel.because you can have smaller bezels and put the camera in the bezel like dell does
Marques hates Apple.I hope Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) gets to be invited to a MacRumors show soon. Now, that will be an interesting show.
Wow, just wow….IMO Justine was something different back when she started doing this, because cute tech nerd girls were not really a thing on the internet. Now they're dime a dozen. IMO she's well past her prime and I haven't watch a single video in many many years.
1080p camera that acts like a 720p camera, if the web cam was iPhone quality then yes I agree but no its really not great that's why now we can use out phones for a better web cam, so that argument doesn't work 1080p means nothing, my m1 max web cam is softDell has a 720p camera, Apple has a 1080p camera.
