Got mine!

They recommended getting a protective film for it, it is highly polished, so it'll probably scratch as easy as glass, but won't crack. Love it so far, would definitely recommend.

Is it easy to install?

very easy you just take the two screws out of the bottom and slide the back up it comes right off. then slide new one on and tighten screws and you done...

Figured id post. Been long time reader, finally joined. I got on of there prototype "burnt" Ti back plates. The quality is outstanding, and I get tons of comments. Dealt with Sunny, extremely professional, and answered my emails superfast. After payment sent, i recieved the back plate within a couple days.
Heres a pic before the install.

Anyone got a pic of a titanium back with a metallic type bumper? Maybe an Element, Atomic, E13ctron, SGP Neo or ??? :)

I have a question regarding the flash. With the factory back on the iphone the flash is covered by the glass, with this back is it covered with glass or anything at all?

Has anyone experienced signal issues after installing their back? I installed mine about a week ago and I love it but I feel like I have a signal loss compared to the original back plate, maybe it's just me though. Anyone else experience issues?

For those that have their titanium backs already... Are you using a bumper or are you using an invisible shield to prevent scratches? I know its titanium so it pretty tough, but I'm sure it will still get scratched up.

I have the Patch. I does seem fragile, so I covered it with what I have. I used a Steinheil Crystal. It covers, but has a lot of bubbling, since the Patch had a lot of ridges.

Maybe something softer like IS or Ghost Armor would not bubble, etc.

The Patch does scratch easily, but scratches look awesome on it. I wish mine had more scratches.

I finally got my titanium back for my white iphone. It is beautiful!!! I chose the "Armor" style. It really looks cool with a white iphone. It gives the phone more of an industrial look. The quality appears to be top notch. I was very impatient and probably gave sunny the blues with all of my "has it shipped?" emails. But I must say, it is worth the wait. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I am actually contemplating buying the black on now. (What can I say, I like options :D).

I'll try to upload some pics tonight.

Mas Design Titanium iPhone 4 backs
Here we go again with a review of a one of a kind product made by Mas Design. Mas Design has made the first titanium iPhone 4 replacement backs. Replacing the back on your iPhone does require removing two small screws at the bottom but Mas Design has you covered as their kit comes with the titanium back, a high quality pentalobe driver or phillips head driver and a real leather pouch it all comes in.

FUNCTIONALITY
As with many replacement backs the Mas Design doesn't effect the physical functionality of the iPhone 4. It is slightly larger then oem iPhone 4 back but it will only effect it on the tightest fitting cases. The backs do make the iPhone 4 heavier, I would say that the titanium back is 3 times heavier then the oem back. I actually like the added weight of the titanium back because it gives the iPhone a very solid feel. With the titanium back installed you don't have to worry about breaking glass if you drop you phone, although the back is made of titanium it has a polished finish on it which will scratch but not as easily as the glass back scratches. I have had no issues with flash washout or inconsistencies in manufacturing. The big question is does it effect your signal like the aluminum replacement backs did? I will start out by saying that my tests do not apply for all areas of the country or the world for that matter. Gps and 3g speeds were unaffected and worked flawlessly for me. I did a 7 hour round trip with the back installed and used gps the whole way and it locked in every time. The reception decibels is the only area that took a hit when testing the titanium back. I consistently saw up to a 8db loss of signal and occasionally a 10 db loss, I never saw a full bar drop off so that is good.

QUALITY and DESIGN
The quality and design of the Mas Design Titanium backs great. The quality is top notch and very well put together, the titanium is fitted to a black bezel that fits just as good as the oem back. The kit comes with a very nice quality pentalobe driver which is great, you can also request a regular phillips head driver if you have a slightly older iPhone 4. There are a few design options for the Mas Design Titanium back, you can get the brushed finish in black and natural, you can also get it in raw titanium armor and patch designs.

Overall Mas Design is one of the first companies to release a titanium accessory for the iPhone and i think that they really came through with a great product. If you live in a area where one bar of signal is normal for you then maybe you shouldn't go with this product. The kit is $68 dollars which includes the titanium back, leather pouch and the pentalobe driver, not a bad deal for a product of this quality. They can only be purchased through the contact link on their web page at www.MASELEMENTS.com

i have posted many other pics throughout this thread so check them out.

Id LOVE to see these in action with any of the aluminum bumpers available (hopefully they fit at least?!), since I just ordered myself a Deff Cleave.

I have a Vapor case a friend lent me to try out and it does NOT fit with the Mas Elements back. The Mas Elements back is just a tiny bit thicker than the standard OEM back - a fitted plastic case I have also won't fit over the Mas Elements back and my iPhone no longer fits in some dock accessories I have that worked previously.

Bam, thats a deal breaker for me. To be expected though I guess.

I have just decided to go caseless.. I really like it so far

TDJ4,
I totally understand going caseless. For me its not that easy though, I just received my new iphone bookbook. I find myself alternating between nude, and bookbook. Its either cool titanium back, or luxurious leather case with credit card slots.

DAMN YOU IPHONE 4!!! (Im sorry sweetie, Daddy didnt mean it)

the black ones if u look at it closely do u see like ripples? like very faint ripples?

I received mine today and have it with deff cleave black bumper. looks great! as in the review it has some heft to it which I guess is a good thing. EVERYONE should get one ;)

my deff cleave case didnt fit at first i pushed down the urethane a bit, jiggy here, jiggy there lol a bit of pushing the 2 parts together, and it fit.i double made sure the plate went down as far as it could at well the fit is tight, very tight so its hard to slide.. down to seat it properly coz of its heft..so gotta do it a few times.
