I dunno guys,
I barely use it anymore! The taptic feedback for notifications is nice, but the apps are so slow it basically just tells time for me. The other features (besides accidentally catching it on doorways and stuff sometimes) aren't really that useful....

I will say that the one feature I do still like is being able to use Siri to create reminders in the shower, but usually it never works anyway since it's nearly out of range

not ready to sell but the hotness factor is dampened for me. Slow apps -- the time it takes for something to load i can have phone out and done before the little thinking wheel completes.

Lifeline was the only game I enjoyed the first few days but that quickly got boring

Navigation was useful at first but when truely in uncharted territories the iphone map will never fail because you can see how the road will be bending... the watch just basically says "TURN NOW" but the road does not match to the command

Weather -- there are more accurate apps for weather it seems... or doesnt update fast enough -- I open it and see oh great no rain today .... 2 hours later -- downpouring --- my guess is it did not update from the prior day before I moved my wrist down to continue my day

I enjoy having date, weather and stocks at a wrist flick but the benefits vs the price of the watch ... meh not worth it

I shop at wholefoods once per week so not needing my phone or wallet is nice

Maybe Apple Watch 4 or 5 will be my next attempt at a wearable

overall --- so so.. its an expensive toy for adults... I would not rely on it at all maybe in a few years all will be better... and it is better than any other wearable out now

A watch that tells time, what a concept!

For me, I don't think i'd use apps heavily on my arm. IT's just not a great method to be productive or to be entertained.

I use my Watch for Siri, reminders, and apps like Hours to track my time at work, apple pay and other things here and there. Notifications are great on the watch! and the fitness features have improved my health and awareness.

To me, it does what it is supposed to do wonderfully well. IF you expect a mini iPhone, it isn't for you and really.. why would you want it to be? Use your phone!

I think wanting a mini iPhone that fits on your wrist so you don't have to bring along your phone is perfectly reasonable. I'd love to be able to leave my phone behind while I go for a walk in the park and still be fully connected via my watch. I'm well aware that the first gen watch isn't that, and I knew that before I bought the watch. So I agree that people complaining the watch doesn't do enough didn't do enough research. But I think a mini-phone on the wrist is where the technology should head toward, though I don't know how long it will take to get there.

It is a "watch". I think there are way too many people who were expecting to replace their iPhone 6+ with a Gd watch. Whatever dude. I agree with @techno-Zen , it does exactly what it was designed to do.

"Let's watch a touching movie our watches!!111!!11One!Juan."

Hate to say it but I'm beginning to feel this way too. I haven't worn a watch regularly in over 15 years and I'm still thinking I don't need too. It's nice getting notifications etc but this is a companion piece to the iPhone that costs almost as much as an iPhone (the SS model anyways).

The big problem is I really enjoy wearing it... it's nice to wear and looks great but as far as functionality is concerned it's pretty unnecessary for me.

I have until July 1 to decide if I want to take it back. Still mulling.

Yeah even with me knowing exactly what its supposed to do and the purpose of it, I still feel just blah about it. Not really a wow factor for as much as I paid for it. I could see if I worked a different job where I am not sitting down at my desk the whole time, with that I feel its pointless since my phone is right in front of me.

I also enjoy wearing it as well, comfortable and looks well but I am seriously considering taking it back and picking me up an Air 2!

I don't think Apple designed the watch with the intention of you always playing with it. What would make it not boring? My iPhone is off more than its on, does that make it boring too?

It doesn't even have anything to do with it not being an iPhone replacement. We've gotten a number of threads from members saying they're "bored" with their iPhones when in reality they really needed to get a hobby.

Sounds like you get bored easily....as it has been said I think people expected it to replace the iPhone and are disappointed. For me it about less interaction with the phone which is good.

How does someone get bored with a watch? I'm just wondering if those people have ever worn a watch before. Some people have been wearing watches for years and guess what? It tells time still.

I already got an Air 2 (which BTW is a huge upgrade over the Air).

I'm thinking I'll take mine back and use the money towards the 6S Plus in September, it will end up costing me about $200 more.

LOL. Yes, whenever I read those posts, I wonder what they expect their phones to do to keep them entertained.

I'm never bored with my phone, but then, I'm always finding something interesting to do with it. It holds my ebook library, my music collection, my appointment calendar, I use it to read the news. look up train and bus schedules, etc, etc. Boring just never comes into it when I think of my phone. Or my watch, for that matter.

The phone and watch are *supplements* for everyday tasks. As noted, they are not meant to be a form of entertainment themselves. That being said, I'm enjoying the watch as a tool for health and activity tracking. Knowing where I stand every day is starting to help me live a healthier life.

Well, the watch was never meant to hold your attention for a long time. It's meant for bite sized info consumption. Apple never intended for the watch to do everything. It's just supposed to make certain activities more efficient. So, I guess I could see how it would get "boring," but it can still be an effective tool.

Agreed. I don't rely on my watch as a form of entertainment and I never get bored, so my Apple Watch does for me what it is supposed to do. I check the time, my level of physical activity, weather, take calls, et cetera. I have worn watches for over 40 years, but I would imagine a good number of younger forum members have not and therein may lie the problem. I did my due diligence on researching the watch and am very pleased. The only thing I did differently after I received my Sport was upgrade to the stainless steel ten days later, but otherwise everything is copacetic.

I bought a 42mm SS BSB the day apple stores started carrying them but I still haven't even opened it up. I think i am just going to return it. I was excited to get it but after reading about it and watching reviews .. it just seems not worth it currently.

I would def try it out. I mean you have a 14-day return window so if it doesnt fit your needs then return it. You might find it cool...

I have to say that I was one that was going to spend the big bucks and with the modern buckle would have been the $750 range, but stopped before hitting the purchase button they day I first did a try on session. I think APple hurt themselves with this by not having them ready to purchase upfront. But I waited till it was available to buy in the store and purchase the Sports Watch for half the price. I have to admit while it has only been 4 days I am quite happy. It is basically an accessory to my 6+ nothing more. I like watches and have several but find I like this for work. Oddly I like it for the Activity app that tells me to stand which is good because I will sit in front of my computer for 5+ hours working. It definitely is not meant to replace my phone, I have actually removed the email notifications because basically I get too many and don't need it on the watch in additional to the phone. I admit after I had second thoughts of spending the big bucks I wondered if even the $349 was throwing away money but so far I am quite happy.
