The iPhone 6 plus will be the mother of all returns or return gate.

Too many people ordered wanting the big iPhone not realizing how huge it was. Get the smaller 6

Personally I love my iPhone 6 Plus. The screen is the perfect size for my pocket (I normally wear cargo shorts) and hand. From the reports, it's also one of the best displays on the market which I can believe. It's big, it's beautiful, it's crisp, it's clear, blacks are rich and colors just pop. I have yet to see the 6 in person, I hear it's still a good display but nothing like the Plus.

I can use the Plus just fine...even one handed.

In fact I just had to remind myself of the Reachability feature.

Same here. The Reachability thing I never use, in fact sometimes it's annoying for me because since the beginning I have had a habit of placing my finger on the home button in case I need to reach the home screen quickly. No biggy, just have to retrain my brain.

Go big or go home. Plus FTW.

That's what I thought. The night before preorders I decided to cut out the Plus and see how it fit in my hand. It was perfect. I had to get it. Go big, or go home.

I'm pretty sure the general public who picked up a 6 Plus absolutely love it. Normal consumers aren't as nit-picky and exchange prone as we tech enthusiasts are.

I have both, i feel the plus feels very unnatural to me, and i have ipad at home. the 6 is perfect for daily use. so i am returning the plus as well. everyone is different, thats why they have 4.7 and 5.5

Too bad about the less than stellar Gfx performance of the 6+ but for the intended audience (older folks w/shaky hands) it likely isn't all that noticeable.

Vast majority of people who got the 6, settled because the 6+ was out of stock and they wanted the new phone on release day

Well I got the 6 because it's what I wanted... I had the option to get either one and chose the 6. First because I thought and think the 6+ is way too big. Second was because I got 4x the storage by getting the 6.

I do however understand what's being said in this thread. I do believe that there's many people that want the 6+. I also believe there's many people who will return it as well. Just as I'm sure there's people that will return the 6.

I just believe that there's less people that "settled" then you may think.

I knew instantly I wanted the iPhone 6. In fact, I usually do a fair share of research before I make a decision. This time, I knew the moment I saw the specs I wanted iPhone 6 64GB.

I already have an iPad. LOL

I agree with you. There's a guy at my work that got the 6+ and he absolutely loves it. Just as I absolutely love my 6 and wouldn't return it for a Plus.

On the other side though, my fiancées brother bought a 6+ instead of the 6 and he now hates it. He says last night he went to sleep with his phone on the night stand like always and woke up this morning and it was cracked. Now he thinks the phone has design flaws and everything else... Where as I think he could have hit it in his sleep or maybe it dropped while he was sleeping and he picked it up...

I just think that we should all enjoy our 6 or 6 Plus.

Eh - I think almost all of the people who bought the 6+ knew what they were getting themselves into. It's a huge phone, is hard to find, and costs $100 more. If you didn't really want a huge phone, you'd get a 6 or 5S.

I bought a 6 today and love it.

Other people are buying or have bought a 6+, and I'm sure most of them love it too.

When will people realize that it's just personal preference? Sure the pros and cons are different, but they're both amazing phones. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy, especially when it's something as trivial as phones.

I'm really on the fence between the 6 and the 6 plus. I love the larger screen size of the plus, but also love the size of the 6. Not sure what to do. I'm sure if I keep the 6 I will regret it because I like a bigger screen. On the other hand the 6 is pocket friendly and I can quickly pull it out and answer a text with one hand. I have a LG G3 so I'm used to larger phones but the 6 plus just seems bigger than most. Just wish apple could have shrunk it just a little.

Have a G3 and returned my plus because is is just huge compared to the G3. Combined with the bending thing I have no regrets. I picked up a 64gb 6 and absolutely love it. I see the plus going down in history like the 5c. I year wonder. Especially with the bend issue.

Does returning your 6 for a 6 plus count? I've now lived with both phones for 3 days and will be sticking with the plus.

They're both great phones for sure. I'm getting the Plus and I'm sure it will take some getting used to but the screen and battery life make it worth it for me personally.

Got to play with a 6+ for the first time today and was really surprised at how practical it seemed. I could totally see myself adjusting quickly. Made my 6 feel tiny. Still love the 6 and will probably keep it. But there's a good chance I might move to the 6+ in February when we have another upgrade and then give my wife my 6. I was also surprised at how nice the gold model looks.

I'm having a hard time moving to the smaller screen. Just about everyone who has looked at this phone says wow that thing is huge.

To me it was not only size that made me pick the smaller iPhone. The plus is really a first gen product and so far it's nothing really special other than a large iPhone. Hate to bring up Samsung but there are many differences between their Galaxy and Note phones other than size.
Feels like Apple released a larger iPhone just to say that they have a large iPhone. The Note series was well thought out. My issue with Samsung as a whole is that it's impossible to know when you will receive updates to Android.

I see the 6 plus as an upgrade opportunity next year. IPhone 6 this year and maybe a iPhone 6s plus next year.

So I pre ordered the iPhone 6+ which should be here tomorrow. My Fiance got the 6+ on Friday once I held it initially I thought I would not like it because of the size so i went and got the 6 on Saturday after playing with both phones for a few days now I realize I really do like and can handle the 6+. I am returning the 6 this week once my 6+ is delivered.

give the 6+ a chance for a few days it will become natural:)

WTF is with some of you people. We get it you don't like the 6 Plus. Now shut up about it already.

Boy am I glad I backed off buying the iPhone 6 Huge, I've just found out it bends like a wet straw, and that's beside breaking really easy.

Looks like I'll be sticking to plastic, I don't want to tie a girder to it to stop it from bending. Amazing that in a bend test the Samsung Galaxy won easily.:(

We're going to see a lot of returns and exchanges for both phones. This is the first time Apple has released two different flagship iPhones simultaneously, and the first time they've done a simultaneous release of two phones of different sizes. Everyone had to make a decision based on everything but the one thing that mattered most: How the phone feels in their hands. As a result, some people will get a 6+ but prefer the 6. Others will get a 6 but realize they prefer the 6+. Some people will get their first option and stick with it.

This combined with the limited availability of the Plus leads me to believe there will actually be more returns and exchanges of the 6, as people either bought the 6 and later realized they should have gone with the Plus (this happened today to my boss when he saw my 6+), or who buy a 6 because it's currently available and they want a new iPhone ASAP but probably should have waited for stock of the Plus to rise.

If you really don't want your Plus, offer to swap it on craigslist for a 6 and some cash. Someone with a 6 will absolutely take you up on it, and you can swap your devices at a corporate store for whatever carrier you both use. Not a big deal.

Indeed, there will be exchanges both ways. I initially got a 6 until I could find a 6+.
