My current gen MacBook Pro (15", 2.4Ghz, 4GB ram, 250GB hdd) that I purchased in November is absolutely perfect. It drives my new 30" LCD beautifully (HP).

If it wasn't for the fact I love the Macbook style and form factor better, I'd be completely happy. (I was on the fence between the MB and the MBP and convinced myself that driving a 30" would make me "learn to love" the MBP...I was wrong. I still wish I had gone with the MB) ;)

One of the first MBPs

I was on the waiting list for the first 17" MBPs. Perfect except for the battery swelling issue, which I don't think qualifies as a MBP problem, rather a battery problem. Apple replaced the battery no questions asked. Flawless ever since.

I had to install BootCamp for work software - flawless. Fastest PC I ever had.

I stood in line to upgrade to Leopard - easy to install - flawless.

Airport...flawless, no connection issues.

Screen...flawless, no dead pixels. Bright and clear.

I was a Switcher, now I'm a Mac Fan. I'll never go back cuz, well, it just works.

MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz 15" (Late 2007), purchased last month at Future Shop, it's the best computer I've ever owned and it's flawless! 4 1/2 - 5 hours battery life with AirPort on listening to iTunes, the screen is absolutely stunning, the whole thing is like a work of art. :)

lol. my case is the opposite ;)

Got my MBP back from Apple yesterday. Background: Had repaired logic board, two batteries, screen, case, and fans (during the course of three repairs).

Now .... it is perfect. My replaced display is brighter and richer in colors. My entire top casing was replaced - my keyboard is like new and my trackpad button is less mushy (has a sharp "click" to it). It actually runs a few degrees cooler as well.
