Why would it say noon? UPS ALWAYS deliver untill like 9pm. All my Apple orders have came by UPS pretty much and arrvied at around 7-8:30pm from a guy in a car/van everytime.

Thankfully mine is coming by TNT this time which is by 5.

just because it says until noon the next day

Mine is STILL the same :(

I'm guessing that Tamworth is UPS's nearest major hub and they are literally just going thru pallets scanning barcodes and sorting out which regional hubs to send our goodies out too........ I have no knowledge just a guess........story of my life really

I'll finally invest in my first slate computer with iPad 3 :D However I shan't be queuing for hours like I did for iPhone 4S :apple:

I know this entirely generalised and subjective but how long would you say it will be before I can freely walk into Apple and buy one? Will the queues be as long as iPhone? For some reason I don't think so... :/

Thinking even though I get my delivery tomorrow on the 16th, as I have a Tesco nearby to go and collect one tonight at midnight, as they have them in stock (confirmed on the phone)...just wondering though will Apple pick my iPad up and refund it like that, or will I have to go to an Apple store to return.

Cheers

My ups order says by end of day too. But I know for a fact it will be in my hands by 10am as its being delivered to my work and my ups driver is like clockwork. 9:30 everyday give or take 10 mins.

Oh this is getting silly.

Precis: I ordered early, got a date of 16. 24hrs later got bumped to 21. Got a phone call at 4:30 yesterday to tell me I would be getting my iPad on 16. Got loads of email stuff (invoice, confirmation etc). Just got TNT tracking to work, tells me it's in Nuneaton. Had a quick look at my Apple order page, my estimated delivery date has now changed to 19th!

I don't think I've been messed around by Apple (or is it TNT?) quite so much before. I've got no idea when it will arrive now. Probably Monday. :-(

HAHAHAHA OH WOW ! Just found out that the TNT van taking the iPad to my local warehouse, had to drive PAST my house to get there, the damn thing was basically on my doorstep, damn it !

I really don't know for sure, but surely that's far more likely to be an error on the part of the Apple order system / page.

Surely it wouldn't appear in the TNT system unless it actually physically existed? I'm no expert though.

Sticking my neck out here, but I think you'll be iPadded up tomorrow :)

My estimated delivery date on the apple website is:

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Mar 13, 2012

So apparently i should have got it 2 days ago...!? I Wish...

Seriously? For a few hours wait. You've lived without it for a week, it's not going to hurt you waiting for it to arrive for another half a day. Leave the ones at Tesco for the people who didn't have the chance to preorder and stop being such a tool.

A consignment number and reference number is generated when the shipping label is created or when the order is created.

None of these will work in tracking until TNT has physical possession of the shipment, however, I don't know what the heck is happening here.

Has anybody had a TNT shipment check in further north than Nuneaton yet? I saw people saying this afternoon theirs had reached London. Manchesters only 2 hours from birmingham :/

UPS has received my order today it seems. Question is whether it'll make it till tomorrow. As far as I can see the nearest place UPS has a hub is in Stansted - 3 hours drive away. As I haven't gotten more details than this, I assume that it is still there. What do you think my chances are of getting it tomorrow? Apple's site says it'll be here tomorrow, but I've noticed from a few posts that you shouldnt put your faith in Apple's estimates.

Mine is still at "Please call" status on the TNT tracker, sadly. Says pickup today and delivery still scheduled for tomorrow, but no tracking info as such.

Mine is via TNT and says

Date Time Location Status:
15 Mar 2012 18:00:00 Nuneaton Shipment In Transit.

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Mar 16, 2012

I'm based in London and ordered 8th March around 1am. Was shipped on the 10th March. Crossing everything that I get it for tomorrow

I'm glad it wasn't just me thinking this!

People need to calm down. Your iPad will be at your doorstep tomorrow. The delivery companies will be doing a damn good job, getting hundreds of thousands if not millions of iPads across the country in one night is no small feet! Think of the poor gits that have to sit there scanning each and every one, knowing they cant have em! :p

Most packages aren't scanned by people anymore, or if they do, a person does the shipment manifest: a sheet with the shipment codes.

Ive got a mate who works at UPS at stansted airport....he says from there they are usually taken to separate delivery depot's. For example nearest to here is Chelmsford (which is actually further from here than stansted). I would guess there is likely to be one closer to oxford (perhaps reading/slough would seem like a good candidate town?) that it will go to from stansted (if indeed it does go to stansted - if have thought they would mostly deal with international shipping at the airport?)

Anyone has an idea about UPS delivery time in Kingston Upon Thames? I really don't hope mine to arrive when I'm not there. And is it true that UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday?
