Do you remember at what time your 4s tracking showed the it was moved from birmingham to your local depot? Or was it delivered straight from birmingham to your house on release day?

I'm pretty sure it showed as being at my local depot about 02:00 and then out for delivery at 06:00. Was delivered to me at 10:45

Mine (UKmail) is still reading as 'Collected'....no further information, getting a little worried, est delivery date is 13th on Apple website. (16th really).

Same, I don't think there is anything to worry about. I very vaguely remember from the pre-order of the original iPad that it got moved to my local depot late at night before launch and my tracking only got updated once it was sent out for delivery from my local depot. So very likely we'll just see "out for delivery" tomorrow morning

How many miles roughly do you live from your depot? I heard people closest to the depot get their deliveries last in the day.

That's perfectly normal. There may be an update overnight once it arrives at your local depot and then it will show as out for delivery in the morning once the van leaves your local depot. Mines the same and this is exactly what happened with 4S deliveries.

I live about 25 miles from my local depot

Lucky you! I live about 3 miles from the local UK Mail depot :( oh well.. won't be able to get home till about 3pm tomorrow!

Finally updated across sites. My iPad has finally arrived in Preston, so I can finally get to sleep tonight.

Now that final one has updated eases my mind. Up bright and early to sit and wait some more!!

Don't worry mate. I have the same status, it just means they're holding the iPads in the depot as per the Apple release date embargo. I'm from Liverpool too, so I'll update the thread when I receive mine.

You in the City Centre?

I'm intrigued to know how many iPads are going to be delivered to my apartment block tomorrow.

Concierge might end up hating his life :-D

Mine has departed Tamworth, presumably on its way to my local depot. It's being delivered to my place of work, productivity may suffer tomorrow.

Thinking even though I get my delivery tomorrow on the 16th, as I have a Tesco nearby to go and collect one tonight at midnight, as they have them in stock (confirmed on the phone)...just wondering though will Apple pick my iPad up and refund it like that, or will I have to go to an Apple store to return.

Cheers

Buying an Apple product from Tesco? .... somehow, it just seems to cheapen the whole experience, without actually being any cheaper!!

Out of Nuneaton...

The mountain of new iPads at Nuneaton is slowly taking to the roads.....mine (TNT) just arrived in Luton depot for its modest local journey tomorrow. Sleeping soundly now.:)

They would be cheaper if they honoured that £49.99 offer they "accidentally" had on their website here in the UK :)

Well my iPad is still in Germany, coming via UPS, and shows an "on schedule" delivery date of Monday 19th :/

I only really need it so I can properly test my game on it and get an update submitted with hi-res assets! (luckily most of the game already supports Retina iPad, i.e. all fonts and the actual game itself looks superb on the iPad Simulator - there's just a few 2D button images and the icon that need updating but I won't be happy until they are - can't stand apps that have to stretch textures!).

Who's is the courier?

Dave

TNT, I expect that it's just on the truck and not actually out for delivery.

Mine has said it since 2pm and I'm in Norwich but I wouldn't worry. Most of my stuff from Apple ends up there and always makes it over night.

My TNT one has arrived at the Basildon Depot after making it's way from Nuneaton, its now only 24 miles away. hopefully if there is one TNT truck serving my town/district, as I'm on the outskirts closest to the direction they'll be coming from i should be one of the first stops in the morning.

Edit: Out for delivery between the hours of 09:00 - 18:00
