Wow ok I've been refreshing for an hour only to find it was out for deliver half an hour ago whatever 3pm come faster!!!!
 
still waiting for mine to go out for delivery, been sitting at the sort facility for 3 hours now and its 6:25 am now though I think FedEx goes out around 7:30.....still time

Well, like the guy directly above you, mine was sitting on the truck for 90 minutes before their website updated. They are getting hammered by an unofficial DOS attack by all of us. :p
 
Fed Ex usually doesn't deliver very early in my area. The last 2 years my delivery came via UPS and it was here by 9:30 each morning.

Try the yahoo FedEx tracker it says I'm out for delivery FedEx still says at local sort facility go on google type in yahoo fedex
 
I wish I knew the normal delivery time for FedEx in my area. UPS delivers late in the day/evening here. Hoping for much earlier delivery from FedEx. :D
 
Both mine and the wife's are on the FedEx truck for delivery. We're on Long Island; they sat in Jamaica (Queens) and Ronkonkoma most of yesterday & early today. Using the mobile web interface to FedEx on the iPhone. No refresh or cache issues!
 
I live about a mile from a big office park so my Fedex arrives around 10am it's going to be a long 28 minutes.
 
Both FedEx and Yahoo show that my package is at the local facility. Been there since 7:21am, it is now 8:33 here. Let's move it along...

Thanks! Yahoo tracker shows my iPad at its destination city while the other tracker still shows it in Memphis.... that makes me feel better now,
 
Early!

Mine says Out for deliver also but 3:54 AM :eek: I just woke up at 6:30 AM PST! I went outside and it looks like there's no note but what is the chance that the driver knocked and left without leaving a note? They had to leave a note right? And why did the tracking info updated like that, no warning or anything that it arrived in the destination facility. I mean it's good that the drive is out for delivery already that early but I do hope that the driver didn't leave without leaving a note.

Is the tracking info updated when the driver update their tracker thingy right away or the tracking info only updates when the driver gets back to their facility?

Out for delivery as of 8:08 am! :D I cannot wait to stare at the new screen all day today! I put aside time to mess with the new iPad! FedEx cut it pretty close with delivery times! I hope all people receive their iPads today! :)
 
It is here. I am off to start up my new toy, thank you all for letting me deal with the agony of waiting along with you. Everyone enjoy your iPads once you get them!
 
I just tried the Yahoo tracker and it says "Delivery Attempt" at 9:25am even though I'm sitting right here in my house and it never had an "on vehicle for delivery" stamp. :confused:
I called in and the automated said the time has been pushed back to 4:30pm (it initially estimated it to 10:30am).
I got an operator who said it's actually by 8pm and they have a special agreement with Apple, yada, yada, yada.

I panicked at first cause the Yahoo tracker said "Attempt" so I called immediately before checking FedEx.com which said "Exception 4:30pm." The Exception was made at 9:25am, not a delivery attempt. I thought this may happen with the volume of deliveries so it's okay.

Now I can understand why at 9:41am it's still not marked as on a vehicle. Still loading and sorting all the iPad-y goodness. :)
