Yahoo tracker shows the following:

2012-03-16 08:26:00On FedEx vehicle for delivery

WOOO!!

FedEx site is still showing it being at the facility.

I called in and the automated said the time has been pushed back to 4:30pm (it initially estimated it to 10:30am).
I got an operator who said it's actually by 8pm and they have a special agreement with Apple, yada, yada, yada.

I panicked at first cause the Yahoo tracker said "Attempt" so I called immediately before checking FedEx.com which said "Exception 4:30pm." The Exception was made at 9:25am, not a delivery attempt. I thought this may happen with the volume of deliveries so it's okay.

Now I can understand why at 9:41am it's still not marked as on a vehicle. Still loading and sorting all the iPad-y goodness. :)

It may have to do with what ASakai was talking about ... maybe? Try giving them a call to see what's up.

That seems crazy early for delivery. I am sure FedEx has not come yet, and they would definitely leave a note for something that required a signature. You'll be ok!! Mine is out for delivery too, but no one has come yet.

i think they did that to loosen up the delivery window (used to be by 3PM now 8PM). can't confirm though, as i'm not at home (am leaving early)
 
FedEx's website just updated for me. Say's it got on the truck over an hour ago! So it looks like the most reliable place to check right now is the Yahoo Tracker!!
 
Wow, mine took over an hour to go from "Destination Sort Facility" to "At Local Fedex Facility". Both of these are in the same city. I assume this means it's now being loaded on a truck there?

It's still 60 miles away from me.....this is taking a very long time today...
 
One of the benefits of working in a big office, our FedEx guy usually comes right around the 9:08am mark. 18 min!!!!

I think FedEx is pretty backed up right now. So it's entirely possible that your iPad is on it's way to you already, and they just haven't updated status just yet.

This is what my status says, too. Same "delivery exception" times exactly.
Anybody know what this means?

Mine was delivered before 9:30 EST. Driver was wanting to go home early today until he saw his truck full of these little boxes we have been so anxious for. So much for his early day.

Delivery says "by end of day"

So my ipad will be taking a tour of Suffolk County for most of the day I think!
 
Mine was delivered in Durham around 9:30 am! Yay, earlier business delivery!

Now I have to sit here and stare at the box until I can go home and set it up. BOO.
 
Just Got It. I saw the UPS guy in the neighborhood yesterday and asked him if he could stop by in the morning.

I am a bit disappointed with FedEx. My package sat in INDIANAPOLIS for 14 hours then arrived arrived in Romulus Michigan at 2:35am. (That's a 40 minute drive from Ann Arbor) It took Fedex 5 hours to transport my package from Romulus to the Ann Arbor facility...(arrived at 7:30am, out for delivery at 7:35am). Then an hour later delivery exception (extended from 3PM to 8PM)
