unopened, will take out of box and wrap it up for the missus, in exchange i get my 2008 MBP back!! yay..also arrived same time was my 8GB RAM for the MBP, god bless apple for:
1) my 1st gen IPOD nano replacement for a 8GB 6th gen one
2) the firmware update that allows 2008 MBP's to address 8GB RAM (finally)
3) the iPad3 that sits beside me now ...

via FedEx to Renton, Washington.
Too bad I'm off work today and will need to drive 30 miles to go pick it up, but hey, what's an evening jaunt after the traffic dies down?

Mine was delivered today at 1:17 this afternoon! Since it's my first iPad, I'm just trying to educate myself on all of it's functionalities so I can optimize it's use.
I may have chased down my FedEx truck today. May have.
Pre-signed paper from Apple taped outside did not work because my order said Adult Signature Required. Had it said Indirect Signature he could have left it. I nearly flipped. But, I found him later and got my baby!!

FedEx says it was a system glitch and no delivery attempt has been made and the package will definitely by delivered today. also the progress bar in the tracking page shows in red
somebody please tell me what this means. also is anybody facing the same issue?
Delivery status on my mom's iPad is similar, and FedEx CSR simply told me the exception status was because Apple requested future delivery on the package. Sounded like a BS answer, but it's 2:20 pm here. Hope it shows up soon.
I just noticed my package is now listed with estimated delivery by 6 pm. Well that probably explains the exception status. FedEx must have hundreds of thousands of iPads to deliver today afterall.
And right before i post this, FedEx shows up. Guess I shouldn't have doubted them.
Both my iPads just went prepared to ship. Ordered on 3/11
And they shipped. That didn't take long!
I picked mine up at the FedEx facility and the older gentlemen at the counter said there starting to look like an apple store with all these people coming in and picking them up.
one of my iPads (ordered March 9th) (black 32gb wifi) is already shipped.
the other one (ordered March 11th) (black 16gb wifi) is "Preparing for Shipment"

No sooner than I got off the phone with FedEx Customer Svcs, the truck shows up.
Per Fedex Cust Svcs, if your "Delivery by" is 7 pm, it is really 8 pm. Supposedly anything scheduled for delivery today, if an attempt can not be made, it will be attempted tomorrow. Even though that is a Saturday...
All I can say is hang in there...
