Cool, my wife said, "don't be cheap, just get the faster shipping", I said, "well it looks like I'll still get it on launch day". Anything to save a buck, ha-ha! I only got the $499 model, but that's because I stream everything, and I have a 4G hotspot.
lol at people thinking this will gut the resale market bc they're still available a couple of hours after they went up on a workday afternoon

I managed to get to the processing page through the iPhone app. But after a minute or two of processing a pop-up showed and said it couldn't connect to the store or whatever.
I checked my bank account online and it showed Apple took out $1.00. Since that happened would it of gone through?

That's what mine was doing until finally it went through. I had to just keep trying.
I put my order in about an hour ago for black 64g LTE... still "pending". I have a confirmation number but still haven't gotten an email.

Not sure if this has been asked already, but do we know what time the new iPad is going to be released in stores next Friday? I remember last year it was 5pm, is it going to be the same this year?
Try going to "More" and then to Order Status in the app. I had the same issue but my order shows up in Order Status. I checked the online store and it's there as well so I think it went through.

Yeah, I think if it shows up on your order status page and shows an order number then you're good to go. Just wait for the confirmation email.

I haven't yet. At one point there were 12 ipads and 12 smart covers in my cart.
Looks like you guys are getting somewhere. UK store hasn't even been up for a good 4-5 hours now at all.
Just placed my order for a 64GB black wifi model. I'm typically on a 2 year upgrade cycle so I'm looking forward to the speed bump over my original iPad. That thing has gotten crazy slow for even basic tasks. The speed is the most important aspect to me rather than the resolution (which I'm sure will be nice also).
Wonder what the "incredibly newer than past new iPads (5th generation)" will include as I'll likely skip next years one. I'd imagine the threads will start either later today or tomorrow with what the iPad 4 will include so maybe the threads on the inclusions for the 5th will start next week sometime?

No doubt...so glad they are doing pre-orders this year.
After 45 minutes of trying, I've got an order #. Also got notification from my bank they charged my card, so there had better be a confirmation email coming soon. I'm sure there will be. 😉
Got lucky. Just received my confirmation email only 35 minutes after submission. It shows a delivery of the 16th so I assume stock was well 'stocked' seeing as people have been placing orders for several hours.

I got the confirmation email shortly after my order was accepted and I logged off from the Apple Store. Quoted delivery of Mar 16. Looks like I'm good to go.
I ordered mine this evening around 5:45pm (est) and just received my confirmation e-mail at 6:27pm. I ordered a Black 64gb AT&T LTE .
