The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (USA) - All Models

My 64GB/Black/AT&T shows shipped as of yesterday (well, 'picked up') in Middletown, PA as well... which is literally 10 minutes away from my house! They love to torture...
 
Order placed at 2:51 CST (3:51 EST) on March 7. Black 16GB with AT&T 4G.

As of right now, the order is still "Processing."

Called Apple this morning and asked if the order looks to be in good shape. The representative informed me that pre-authorization (currently not appearing on my bank statement) was successful and that my iPad will arrive on March 16.

Despite worries and speculation to the contrary, devices ordered promptly will undoubtedly arrive on Friday - regardless of the status on Apple.com.
 
My black 64GB Verizon is still preparing for shipment so I don't even have tracking updates to obsess over yet. Instead I spend my time worrying about my jailbroken iPhone theme not matching my stock iPad.
 
Mine is saying shipped but still no tracking info when I check the FedEx number. Hope something shows up online today.

I ordered March 7 at 4 PM CST 64GB Verizon
 
These threads are great. I feel bad for Apple CS when people ask why there's hasn't shipped yet. Every release for every iDevice we see these threads and 99.9% of the people get it on the day promised even if they do not see any movement on their order status until the day it delivers.
 
Has anyone's 64GB White VZW LTE went from preparing to ship to shipped? I'm in the Philly area and it's been on preparing to ship for two days.

Nope. Mine went to "preparing for shipment" sometime two nights ago and is still sitting at that status. I'm in CA and ordered at 1:07PM on 3/7.

I pre-ordered a black 32g wifi the day of the release. Tracking finally shows some movement-- it's in Nashville. I'm in Houston.

I guess posting this did the trick, because I just got the shipping e-mail and it's already been picked up in Ontario, CA. Woo!

Got a shipment email from Apple at 5 AM this morning saying my 32GB Wi-Fi Black shipped from Ontario, CA. I'm in LA so that's about 30 minutes from me. I don't see how they are going to hold it on a truck or a local office all week.

Just received shipment notification saying it shipped from Middletown, PA on Fedex

Almost as soon as I posted, mine is now "Preparing for Shipment."
 
Got my order confirmation email for 2 black 32gb units on launch day, March 7th at 3:42pm EST. Still sitting in Preparing for Shipment status. Not worried about delivery and when I'll get a tracking number - Apple knows what they're doing. They don't ship out in order, but for the most part, if they say the 16th, you'll get it then. It will be here on time. :)

Have to run to the airport Friday the 16th, though. THAT'S what worries me. I hope I get my 2 iPads around 9:30am like I got my iPad 2's so they don't sit outside very long. Quiet neighborhood, but I'd rather not have $1,200+ of items sitting on a porch on the day of a well publicized launch. ;)
 
Status just changed to Shipped a few minutes ago!

64 G Black 4 G AT+T ordered 7 AM March 8.

According to FedEx site: overnight delivery by 3 PM March 16. Currently in PA.

I checked my status this morning and received an error screen about Apple updating the system and to check later. Went out for the morning run, came back and checked just now and received...

For reference, I'm in Chicago. Ordered a 32gb Black Wifi on the 7th around 5:30pm CST. Received a shipping email on the 9th at 7:30am CST. Tracking number was dead until today (Sun 10:40am CST) when I just checked again and posted promptly here. I'm finally exhaling a sigh of relief. I'm good until Friday now when I will most assuredly stalk the FedEx guy and meet him at his truck to save him extra steps to my door.

All I can say for those who are still waiting, give it time - at least through Monday - before fully panicking. For those who still have dead tracking numbers, I do hope everyone receives updates soon.
 
My white 64GB AT&T order on 3/7 at 3:20ish CST is still processing. No biggie, but I'm starting to think I made a mistake going with AT&T. If AT&T really doesn't allow tethering I'm going to be very grumbly.

Don't see too many 16gb black VZW models, but my early march 7 order went to preparing for shipment very early Saturday morning est and hasn't moved. I'm near Pittsburgh. Seems refreshing constantly isn't speeding it up :)

I thought AT&T allowed tethering, but for a fee. I could be wrong though since I'm with a different carrier, but I remember it being for a fee when I was looking at them a while ago.

Apparently you have to have the 5GB plan for mobile hotspot or tethering according to the fine print.

Getting nervous

I ordered my iPad on Wednesday evening at around 9pm, 32GB Wifi white, and order is still processing. Think I am going to call today to make sure all is still good since I did have to change the address it was being shipped to on Thursday. It still says delivers on the 16th! I'm so excited!
