The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (USA) - All Models

Ordered mine Friday morning just received the order confirmation email an hour ago and the AppleCare portion of the order is complete otherwise still processing.

Finally got the shipping notification for my mine (white, wifi, 16GB).

Didn't think I needed 32GB since my current iPad has only apps stored locally and is mostly empty. Don't need 3G but almost went for the 3G to get the GPS. Then I considered I primarily just listen to my iPhone 4S for navigation without looking at the display, and for that matter rarely drive with my iPad. If I ever decide I wanted GPS I figure I can always pick up an iPad-compatible bluetooth at less cost than buying the 3G iPad (though I really doubt I will need to use iPad for navigation).

Ordered 3/8 at 2PM mountain time.

I am on the border of AZ/CA. iPad is in Ontario.

Just glad it is now shipped and out of the "preparing for shipment" purgatory.

Apple told me that many of the units that are still in the "Processing Items" status and were ordered early is because many of those units are already State-side and won't show shipping until early this coming week. :apple:
 
Just got my shipped notification! Same thing as most people; it's sitting in PA with delivery for Friday by 3PM.
 
I pre-ordered two -- a black 64 gig Verizon LTE and a white 32 gig wifi (for my wife). The white one shipped yesterday and the black one shipped this morning. Both Fedex, both leaving Ontario, California.

What was funny was last night, the delivery date for the white one was showing as Monday (tomorrow), but as of this morning, both are showing "Delivery by Friday, March 16th." D'oh.

Apple, UPS, and FedEx know what they're doing, folks. I've made enough online purchases to know that the package can be delivered sometimes when the online tracking system indicates it's still at the origination point.

Friday is a long way off. My tracking indicates it is being sent Next Day, which means in theory it may not leave China until Thursday (Wednesday our time). And if that's the case, the tracking data may not reflect shipment until Thursday.

Think of it like this: if there is a problem with your shipment and it doesn't arrive on Friday, there's not a damn thing an Apple CSR can do about it. You'll just maybe get some kind of store credit.

Well if I didn't call and just left it to blind faith as you seem to be advocating I would likely not be getting my iPad this coming Friday.

I received no email or phone call from Apple that my CC was declined (Bank of America-- the place fraud hold on card, ask questions later, people).

Two hours had gone by and nothing. My order status was simply "Order Received."

But after reading this thread I realized something was not right with my order.

I called Apple and sure enough they said my card was declined due to incorrect billing address. I had inadvertently used my street address zip code and not the PO box that was the address on the CC. Corrected that on the phone with the CSR and by the time I hung up with him the order changed to Processing.

So I for one am glad I just didn't order and wait till Friday. I probably would have eventually gotten an email about the CC issue but it may have come too late to still get it on the 16th.

Mine is currently "In Transit". It arrived in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday and it looks like it will be at my local fedex on Monday maybe Tuesday. I only live about 5 hours from Nashville here in Alabama so I hope to get lucky and get my ipad a little early.

The apple tv I ordered still says processing with no shipping info

I think they are shipping the wifi ver, 1st some how the wifi + the 4G LTE is only prepare shipping maybe they had to do some last minute changes because of att request?
 
On your Apple Store order status page, if you click "Print Invoice" it will bring up your serial number for your iPad, that's pretty neat.

So I am leaving town Friday morning and would love to take my new iPad along. If I call FedEx once I have a tracking number, will they set it aside for pickup Friday morning (16th)? This would be great news!

Someone tried that and was told by Fedex that Apple requires them to make one delivery attempt before allowing a pickup.

Seems odd to do that on the 16th though so I would still try it.

Ordered a 64GB Black VZW iPad with the camera connection kit and a black leather smart case the afternoon pre-orders started.

Leather smart case will be here on Monday and originated in West Sacramento, CA
Camera Connection kit will be here on Wednesday and originated in SHENZHEN CN
iPad will be here on Friday and originated in Ontario, CA

Sucks that the damn thing is sitting in a warehouse 5.5hrs away from me and it's going to take until Friday to get it. :mad:

Like others in this thread, I received a shipping notification this morning and it shows my iPad is shipping from Middletown, PA.
 
I am in Southern California and I still sitting in Preparing for Shipment. I ordered 16gig att and 16gig wifi only, black.

wish they would move already.. probably by tomorrow or tuesday, its the same every year for both iPad and iphone...just having it move makes it feel like its just that much closer to me though:)
