I still do not care for the circle and dash (whatever the heck that is for) but every time I see the clear MagSafe case I think I might want it.
Agree not a fan of the white ring, I got it as it was the cheapest clear magsafe case I could find in a hurry while waiting (still) for my apple leather case to arrive, will use the Ringke a bit over summer though. It's the only clear case I have ever tried that is not slippery and doesn't smudge all over.

GrumpMom: What was the color of your previous iPhone? I have 12 Pro Max in gold, and I'm still loving the 13 Pro Max in gold. But I really want a change of color. Are you wearing a case with yours? I find Sierra Blue to be quite masculine actually because of the grey tone. So now I'm deciding between silver and Sierra Blue. What a first world dilemma! :)
Hi sorry I lost track of the threads I was on. I am trading in a gold 12 Pro Max for this Sierra Blue 13 Pro. I was just at the Apple Store today and I didn’t have my gold 12 Pro Max with me so I couldn’t be certain but under their store lighting, gold looks more pale to me. It didn’t look like how I’m used to my gold phone looking. But their lighting is tricky.

If I could do this over again, I think I would go silver with a black leather case. The silver looked really nice under their lights and went with most of the cases I saw. I was struck by how the silver coloring made the godawful gigantic camera lenses look okay, like a throwback to a real classic camera. Paired with a black leather case that effect would be even more striking.

Now just as a color, by itself, no case, I still count Sierra blue as my personal favorite. I can’t stop looking at it. (I often don’t use a case inside my home). But I’m limited to cool tones for the cases.

At least that’s how I perceived it all under their store lighting. People here have photographed their Sierra Blue phones in a variety of warm toned cases and their phones looked great. But as I was standing there deciding which case I’d put on my Christmas wish list, I was inclined to stick to blues and the wisteria leather and the black leather. Black still looks great with this color, it’s just not the same throwback to a classic camera look.

i can't decide which case i want to use on my Sierra Blue 13PM or if i want to go naked lol here are my choices.

Just a warning, because nobody is coming out and saying it...the marketing photos aren't accurate.
If you can see these in person, do so.

The Silver is more of a frosted white, very light grey in some angles. The side framing is silver.

Blue is looking different in actual photos, and I think better, but it's not really the blue from Apple's materials.

Agreed. I love the silver but don’t like the silver rim around the front of the screen - looks like two separate pieces. Do the silver sides still scratch very easily?

I went SB, love the greys, wish I could justify buying silver, graphite and SN to jump between depending on my mood/day hehe.

I'm now noticing that Best Buy has more accurate photos. I'd have ordered a different color, but I'm not going to return it over that.

I'm coming from a 6S which also had a slight silver rim, so this doesn't bother me. I think a colored rim, or something less pronounced would be more distracting.

Right out of the box I thought I had scratches, but they rubbed out with a fingertip, and it wipes pretty clean. I would guess this is the same with the sky blue too.

GrumpyMom: thank you so much for your detailed answer. Your words point me to the right direction. I went into the store (again) yesterday to check out the new pro colors, and I just have to say that the Silver really speaks to me. I don't know why, so this year I'm going Silver. It's the quintessential clean cut Apple look, and I just love it. Other people find it boring, but in reality, I haven't had a white phone in a very long time.

Graphite with the magsafe version of the case.

I wouldn’t suggest a clear case for the graphite. It looks good but the Apple leather case like the Dark Cherry and that new green leather are amazing with it. Even the abyss blue and the clover are nice.

With graphite you can change cases daily and not be bored with the same look until iPhone 14 Pro releases in 11 months time.

My suggestion is you make your phone choice based on the case colors you play to use. If you are not using a case then choose between Gold and Sierra Blue.

If you plan to use many cases than surely get the graphite.

Silver is okay but very ordinary.

In bright lighting yes, looks a darker burnt orange brown color indoors.

I don’t like orange color. Some like it though. It is a personal preference.

To me Sierra Blue is best without a case or with a case, it has to be clear or Blue Jay. The rest just makes the good color look horrible.

Actually the best part of the Sierra Blue is the frame and the back which gets covered with a case. What is the point of getting the Sierra Blue then?

Have to disagree here, the golden brown case matches the grey camera bump on the phone nicely, also have a green leather case arriving soon.

It is probably just my opinion. I am very particular of how a phone loose with cases. It is one of the reasons for me not getting the Sierra Blue.

I will sure not rock the phone without a case or skin so I got the color which has no issues with skins or cases and that is the graphite.

I have the dark cherry leather and the green leather case is on it ways next week.

Both look amazing with the dark graphite color camera bump.
