They don't mention evrything on an advert page.

You agree that stainless steel would not scratch exactly like the old chrome ones yes?

Then why does it seem to be on this?

I'm going to assume that came from the event itself. If so, then I misunderstood what they meant. I was very hopeful for aluminum (or anything for that matter) rather than chrome.

Can anyone tell me abou the audio chipset? I am hoping for better audio quality.

Anyone know when these newbies will be stocked in stores? I know they're shipping 'next week' but does that mean they'll be on display in Apple Stores on monday?

Go into an Apple store on Wednesday. Everything will be there then. And about the use of better parts to get better audio quality, we son't know until a teardown in a week or two.

Question about iOS 4.2 announced yesterday (Ipod Touch related)

Steve Jobs said yesterday that iOS 4.2 is going to be released in November for the iPad........... I have to imagine the update is going to be for the iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch - all 3 devices (not just the iPad) - correct?

The feature that got me excited was the wireless printing over Wi-Fi capability - is that going to be just strictly for the iPad, or will I be able to use it with the Touch as well? For instance, say I'm looking at a web-page on my iPod Touch (4G) and want to send it to my printer on my wireless network and print the page, - with iOS 4.2, would I be able to do that with my iPod Touch?

I hope it is for Ipod as well, fingers crossed

Im sorry, but it is
I can assure you that it takes pictures because if u go to apple.com and go to ipod touch 4 section wait for the slides to go by and watch.. the slide where there is a girl on a bike and someone is shooting her with an ipod touch4 u can clearly see that there is a slider which changes from video mode to picture mode ;)

This. It has never been chrome, always stainless steel. Shiny steel /= chrome. Chrome is a plating, you could scratch it off.
Wait. So the acutual body is made of stainless steel, and the chrome is like.... Paint?

Well a little more sophisticated than paint. A thin layer of metallic chrome is uniformly applied to the metal part using a bath of plating solution. I think the part might look better without the chrome plating. It would look like a stainless steel appliance (e.g. refrigerator). More resistant to scratching than with the chrome plating, but prone to finger prints.
