How was it rendered obsolete by the release of a better product?
So you would be OK as a owner of the current iPad Pro 9.7 if an iPad Pro 9.7, 4GB Ram, A10, 4K OLED screen came 1. May for $50 less?

Yeah, well as the proud owner of an Ipad3, which was rendered obsolete within months by the iPad4, I have "trust" issues.
So you would be OK as a owner of the current iPad Pro 9.7 if an iPad Pro 9.7, 4GB Ram, A10, 4K OLED screen came 1. May for $50 less? What, it stopped working the day the iPad 4 came out? Get over yourself.

From using the best camera for the New iPad Pro to having the beautiful campaign of iPhone photos, I believe Apple is using the camera/photography/video as one of the tent poles of iOS hardware (particularly vs the competition, but also as an upgrade motivator)
You are right that Apple wants to keep their cost down, but adding 32Gb of storage does not drive/accelerate upgrade cycle...that's what they need in the iPad segment (almost 50% of iOS h/w sales are basic models, see ASPs)

It is probabaly time to get over it but you seem to be the one who should get over themselves.
I was an iPad 3 owner as well, and of course it was perfectly legitimate for any owner of an ipad 3 to feel betrayed. Apple had set a precident that when you buy an apple product you have the top of the line device for a year at least. That's part of the value you are investing in.
I got over it though and used it for 4 years and now my wife uses it as purely a consumption device. Works great for her.
In the end though Apple did lose some trust from me and deservedly so.
