has nothing to do with respect giov. the man is gone, so i really don't think he cares what any of us has to say.

I can't believe you have the audacity to say that. Dead or alive, someone deserves to be respected. The option of any treatment Steve chose was based on his own beliefs and we all know he was capable of making his decision for his personal well being. And to say that he would be alive today if he didn't make that decision just shows how ignorant you are. Even doctors can't guarantee the success of pancreatic cancer treatment which happens to be one of the most feared types of cancer.

I guess there is no reasoning with someone who is deprived of any moral fibre.

I think the OCD label as a negative trait is pretty ironic because Steve Jobs was probably the king of OCD. It's what made him great. I didn't know him personally of course, but from everything I have read he seemed a bit of a whack Job. I greatly admired him : ).

Demanding more and expecting more, is better than settling and expecting less. Thats like when people said "At least Windows 7 is better than Vista."

Steve Jobs didn't have OCD. Having "Obsessive Compulsive Disorder" means that you are forced to do things against your will. For example, being unhappy if your computer is scratched is normal. Not being able to use your perfectly fine working computer even when you want to, because it is scratched, that is OCD.

Steve Jobs made the perfectly rational discovery that by putting more effort into the design and quality of Apple devices Apple would in the short term spend a bit more money, but would be in the long term more successful. Other business leaders haven't discovered this or haven't acted on it. He then took exactly the course of action that would make his company successful. This isn't OCD, it's good business sense.
