 georgia tech god that game pissed me off

Ga Tech is a better team than they showed (see Auburn)
Va Tech isn't as good as they showed (see NC State)

Va Tech is much stronger in Blacksburg than on the road
Some games just get away from you, but GT will bounce back
I think the end of the year will be interesting for the Tech-GA game

i'm so ticked that i didn't watch the second half of the LSU-Tenn game... ARGH!!

I went to bed at the half too... but had that botched end by LSU on my mind as somehow biting them, but nahhhh, not the way Tennessee was playing.

Looking forward to Florida at Alabama, Michigan at Michigan State, and USC at Arizona State this week.

My Dawgs get the week off to prepare for Tennessee.

What a great weekend, even though my Dawgs were off!

Welcome to the SEC Urban Meyer! 'Bama put an old fashioned smack down on Florida. The spread offense looked like it was spread too thin to me. Is 'Bama's defense that good or is Florida's offense that bad? Hmmmm, Vandy's ahead of Tennessee and Florida in the SEC East standings! Sweet. My Dawgs head to Knoxville this week to expose the Vol's as pretenders.

The Michigan and Michigan State game was terrific, and quite a surprise. Tough loss for the Spartans, but a big win for the Wolverines. How the mighty have fallen. I was surprised to see how well Penn State played as well. I didn't see that coming. I guess Minnesota wasn't really that good, and Jo Pa's team isn't as weak as I thought.

Nebraska got a big win (how the might have fallen there too!) over Iowa State, but it took overtime. Are the 'Huskers getting better?

Still think that Texas will stumble along the way, but they didn't look past Missouri. Still, they have to get over the psychology of Oklahoma. I think they will, but you never know in games like this. It is the season for the Sooners.

USC is still impressive. Even though Arizona State had them, they never panic. They remind me so much of the NFL Patriots and Tom Brady. Scary... The Notre Dame and USC game will be fun to watch again, and that hasn't been true in years.

Va Tech rolls on... but they have some tests yet to come. Hopefully Miami will be up to the challenge.

Would love to see my Dawgs run the table and play USC, but I don't think we could hang with them. I don't really think anyone can until next year.

Pretty quiet week this Saturday...

Dawgs and Tennessee is the key matchup
LSU gets Vandy, so we see how they fare
Ohio State gets Penn State who will surely be in the Top 25 this week

Good luck to everyone's teams!

Go Dawgs, sic 'em, woof, woof

Rollin' on up to the Cotton Bowl to watch OU get rocked. Texas better not **** it up...

Not the compelling game it has been for the past few years, but interesting none the less. If Texas loses, its 'here we go again'. If Texas wins, well, after all, they were supposed to 'cause OU sucks this year. I'm sure Texas would prefer beating a quality OU team instead of this. But then again, they never could beat a quality OU team.

Good luck in this one! I need one of the top 3 to lose sometime so my Dawgs can move up! #4 and #5 in the polls and still climbing! Of course, we have to take care of business ourselves in Knoxville.

Alright... go dawgs, sic 'em, woof, woof!

College Game Day is in Knoxville today I think. Shows how far the Red River Shootout has fallen with OU not playing well.

The game today with Georgia/Tennessee will go a long way towards deciding the East. Winner has the inside track.

Should be some good games today.
Good luck to everyone and their teams, except UT (both kinds)
*I need Texas to lose*

Gameday was in Happy Valley...I love that Penn State beat Ohio State. Bye bye Buckeyes!

My 'horns beat OU (finally)...but that's no surprise. You're right, the Red River Shootout wasn't the top-ranked match that it has been the last few years.

Congrats to Penn State! A great win for them, and wow, look at Michigan and Ohio State fall!

Well, the Dawgs have the inside track for the SEC East now. I am still concerned about D.J. Shockley. His 2 turnovers almost killed us. Our defense is awesome though, our running backs are studs and we have 2 of the best tight ends in the country. We get Vandy and Arkansas now before the showdown with Florida (who may lose to LSU).

Still need a couple of folks to lose... like USC, Texas, Va. Tech and Florida State. Va. Tech and Florida State will likely play for the ACC and one will have to lose. C'mon, help me out here.

Another Big Weekend!

1 USC at 9 Notre Dame
Anybody think Notre Dame takes out Southern Cal?

24 Colorado at 2 Texas

8 Penn State at (unranked) Michigan

11 Florida at 10 LSU

16 Michigan State at 15 Ohio State

23 Wisconsin at 22 Minnesota

And of course my #5 Dawgs at Vanderbilt

Wow, this thread has all but died!!

Guess as they teams go down one by one, Michigan, Ohio State early, Penn State this past week, and others, the fans just gear up for next year.

Well, my Dawgs are still in the hunt, although it will be a tough road.

7 undefeated teams still in the BCS, but history tells us that won't last. But unless USC or Texas loses, they will be the 2 playing.

Good luck to everyone's teams, and I'll let the thread die from here.
Don't need to talk to myself! I do that enough already!

Well, my Dawgs are still undefeated (7-0), but now we have lost our QB. We get Florida this week, and that will be a challenge with a new QB. Auburn will probably be a bigger threat the next week. We need Shockley's knee to heal quickly.

Sold out Sanford Stadium to take on the Hogs of Arkansas.
It was a beautiful day. We didn't play well at all.

OK, so we lost to the Gators
So we've lost to them 14 out of 16 tries

We still control our own destiny
We just need to take care of Auburn on Saturday

Glad to have D.J. Shockley back for this one.
Win, and we are all but assured of a trip to the SEC Championship game

'Bama has a tough road with LSU and Auburn
Even if they make it, they have to win the SEC Championship game to stay unbeaten

My prediction?
The Dawgs and LSU in the SEC Championship game again.

did anyone stay up to watch the usc/fresno state game? it got late here on the east coast, but i couldn't turn it off...

reggie bush has to be the heisman front runner...

I didn't watch it (too late), but read the summary and stats. Amazing game!
Kudos to Pat Hill and the Bulldogs, but they just couldn't pull it off.
I know they aren't into moral victories, so it has to be tough on them.

Bush is amazing. He's been very impressive. Should win the Heisman, though Vince Young will still get some strong support.

Well, my Dawgs lost a thriller to Auburn (heartbreak), but still win the East by hammering Kentucky. Guess we will have to show LSU a thing or two in the SEC championship game.

The Tech-Georgia game will be interesting. They will be cocky after knocking off Miami. A great win for them, but they are hot and cold. I don't think they have it in them 2 weeks in a row.

notre dame narrowly escaped from palo alto with a win... have to feel good about them, back to a BCS game after being so so lousy for the last few years...

But do they deserve it over Oregon, whose only loss came to #1 USC (while ND lost at home to Michigan State as well), or Ohio State, another 2 loss team with losses to #2 Texas and #3 (BCS) Penn State?

Nobody is really giving my Dawgs a lot of love in the SEC Championship game, but LSU is NOT that great IMO.

Shoulda lost to Arizona State [scored with 1 minute left, 4 point win]
Shoulda lost to Florida (LSU turned the ball over 5 times, trailed in the 4th) [4 point win]
Shoulda lost to Auburn (OT) [3 point win]
Shoulda lost to Alabama (OT) [3 point win]
Coulda lost to a bad Arkansas team [2 point win]

Did lose to a lousy Tennessee team in OT

I know you can say that they battled through adversity and won those games, but I'm not impressed.

My Dawgs on the other hand,
Lost to Florida with our QB gone
Lost to Auburn when we had them 4th and 10 on their 25 in a heartbreaker

Actually, Auburn is probably the best team in the SEC right now

i agree, i think that LSU is way overrated...

notre dame definitely laid a turd against michigan state- but also only lost to usc in the last minute of the game... i think they deserve to be where they are- more than lsu

I'm just glad my huskers were able to beat Colorado. Friggin' farmers trying to figure out this whole west-coast offense thing. I'm almost ready to get rid of my "huck the fuskers" shirt.:p

Still a long way to go for the Cornhusker nation, but a great win nontheless.

Guess there are really no arguments about Texas and USC in the Rose Bowl. Both had insane wins yesterday, and it should be a good game. Actually, I hope USC wins and shuts the mouths of the historically underachieving Texas rabble. Both might score 100 though.

My predictions about LSU were accurate and my Dawgs exposed them. I wish we had a healthy Shockley when we played Florida, and the momentum going into the Auburn game. We could have been undefeated, but I suppose a lot of teams could claim that.

I think the Dawgs should handle West Virginia. Their only loss was to Va Tech, who was embarrassed by FSU last night. However, West Virginia has played nobody, I mean nobody this year! Look at this schedule!

Syracuse (15-7 over a 1-10 team)
Wofford (a 6-5 I-AA school)
Maryland (5-6 team)
East Carolina (20-15 over a 5-6 Conf USA team)
Virginia Tech (only loss)
Rutgers
Louisville
U Conn (5-6)
Cincinnati (4-7)
Pittsburgh (5-6)
S.Florida (6-5)

Not exactly a brutal schedule and none were impressive wins
Dawgs should roll and finish 11-2
Mark Richt has been awesome for us.

True, I feel the same way...but they did win their conference and they are in, just like Florida State. I don't like it, but it is what it is.

The real shame is Notre Dame in a BCS bowl. So what if they played USC tough, Fresno St. did that in the Coliseum. Notre Dame has beaten 3 teams with winning records: @Michigan (quality win), BYU and Navy. Hardly Murder's Row in my eyes.

I'm not a big fan of Ohio State, but here's hoping the Buckeyes roll over the Irish.

Woo hooo!!!!!!!
We got Michigan in the Alamo Bowl. Not as good as our championship wins of of the 90's, but it will still be a good game anyways. Besides, at least we're above .500.

Regardless of how this one turns out, I do not understand a coach calling a go for it on 4th and short, on your own 29, down 10 with 4 minutes left in the 1st Half, ranked #1 and going for a national championship. Anyone who can explain that one, feel free.
Oh, and go SEC. ;)

Tonight I'm a Gator fan, go SEC.

/wishes his Hogs had a passing game and different coach.
