One of the few snacks that comes in a shell, vaguely slowing you down as you enjoy.

Yeah, roasted sunflower seeds are definitely one of those foods/snacks that I can just go on and on with for a good while. Similar case with roasted pumpkin seeds for me as well.

Roasted corn on the cob (assuming the corn itself is of good variety) sort of fits the bill as well, although it's a little easier to get filled up on it.

Thai food, Indian food and Cajun food.

This.

There isn't an Asian cuisine I dislike, and most of them I just love.

Re snacks, salty - what we call "crisps" in the world of the British Isles, and what Our Transatlantic Cousins tend to refer to as "chips" are a favourite of mine, especially with a beer. Nuts - pistachio, salted and roasted cashews, peanuts - will also find much favour with me. Rice cakes, hmmm. Yes.

Strangely given 99.9% of the time I eat mostly vegetarian, the exception I make is for billtong .... especially Springbok billtong. Yum yum yum.

Otherwise I would go for a more Irish phenomenon ... The Garlic, Cheese & Chip combo. Seen the full breadth of the countries 'chippers', almost as Irish as the 'breakfast roll' ...

Currently living in a landlocked country doesn't help.

You are absolutely right.

You never fully appreciate this culinary gem - this timeless classic - until you have lived in, and worked in, a landlocked country, when it becomes a source of fantasy.

Ah, yes, I remember this.

I know Ireland pretty well.

Garlic chips, curried chips, and yes, cheese and garlic chips......after a night in the pub, these can go down very well indeed.

Warm chips, cilantro salsa, and spicy queso = 0 self control

Yum.

What is one food that you will eat and eat and eat until the point of almost throwing up?
I would say Pizza was the food that came to my mind, but I limit myself to no more then 3 slices. So from that perspective I don't have any food I'm willing to gorge myself with.

If we're talking small candy items...

I could eat these forever. Halloween - my favorite time of the year.

Second after pizza is definitely candy corn, I love those little nuggets of sugary goodness

I used to be a couch potato back in the day, but after I started exercising and losing weight, I've largely gotten into the habit of making sure I don't clean off my plate. I almost always leave a 1/2 or a 1/3 of the portions provided (If I'm at a restaurant) At home, I ensure I have smaller portions.

One of the two single reasons for living on the gulf coast. We have THE BEST shrimp (and oysters, and crab, and catfish, and....).

Whimper.

While there is not much about the US that I will envy, that, I will envy you.

Ahh, yes. I'm always full before my actual meal comes at any mexican restaurant.

Something similar has been known to happen to me in Indian restaurants.......

Nice. We're 2 blocks from ocean, two blocks from the intracoastal, lots of folks around here fish/shrimp/crab/etc., and we get a pretty constant stream of spectacular fresh seafood (as in caught in the morning, iced, and delivered to my door)

OREOs no doubt. Whoever invented Mega Stuff should be arrested.
See, I think the ratio of stuffing to cookie is off on all but the originals. I feel the same way about Reese's peanut butter cups. The regular ones are great. The minis aren't, the special shapes for holidays aren't, the mega ones aren't. (Though, to be fair, I don't have any problem eating them.) (;

I totally get it, that's just doing your research. And, as we all know, a good hypothesis must be thoroughly tested.

Yes it is interesting how the different shapes have different tastes. The original are the best.

Some people here mentioned pistachios- I can eat a bag in one sitting without even noticing it. It's mind blowing. It's too bad they're fairly expensive (or maybe it's just a good deterrent).

Shrimp is amazing too.

Some things I cannot agree with
- Candy Corn - its good but after 10 peices I feel like im going to vomit
- Jelly Beans - yuk
