Yes Apple's done a great job convincing people to pay premium prices. And like you pointed out the TN is good enough since most people don't care. As long as they get the coveted Apple logo, nothing else matters. When it comes to persuasive marketing Apple has the keys to success.

Funny you should bring that up. I began purchasing substantial amounts of Apple stock a long time ago when it was just under $20.00 per share. Years later when rumours were hot and heavy about the possible demise of Apple my family thought I'd lost it since I bought even more shares then. Increasing my holdings on an annual basis every year, I too am thrilled with the gains. In fact between my Apple & Microsoft holdings the net gain has exceeded my wildest expectations.
