This has started since a couple of days ago. Going 'back' in my browser tends to trigger this and sometimes clicking a link in the site. The error is coming from MacRumors not the browser. Is there a bug I'm missing here that's not being seen?

If this happens again, let me know here and I can look into the logs immediately. right now they cycled off server.

Interestingly, my reports yesterday were only happening on the iPhone 17 Pro, but not on my iPad Air. Both using the web app, both on latest iOS and both on the same network. Very strange.

To contribute something factual: this afternoon, access was also very slow here at times, even though up-to-date software and hardware were being used. But thanks to Arn's statement, we now know that it was probably due to the server.

Hmm... I just remembered that I left my iPhone connected to a VPN yesterday afternoon after being on the wifi at a restaurant. I bet the VPN was causing issues for me at MacRumors on iPhone and why I didn't have any issues on the iPad.

Moin Arn,

something completely different just occurred to me. Back then, a web server wrote way too many log files and consequently overflowed. But something like an excessively large session table in the SQL Server was also once the cause. That's why I wrote in my thread about whether deleting all sessions or invalidating them might help.

Possibly related, it could have triggered a Cloudflare block on some of the xenforo core files. Let me know if it happens again and I can look up the logs.

In fact, if you specifically turn on your vpn to see if you can reproduce. If you do msg me the ip you were assigned at the time so I can look at the logs

I've gotten the error and handful of times this morning on MacOS 26.4.1. Hitting reload once, the page will load properly.

Still happening to me, on Safari on macOS Tahoe (latest update). Trying to enter the site give me the error and it only loads after refreshing once or twice.

I got it a 2-3 times within the past hour or so. I have a bunch of tabs open, I'll go away from a tab for ~10 minutes then come back to it and I'll click a link to navigate the forums and get the error.

Seeing the same thing. First click to the site fails to load immediately. One or two refreshes and all is good. Safari here too.

The change I made takes a bit to propagate. So still hoping it’ll get fixed
