Yeah, can't be bothered to read all the people who say it's not a problem. If you regularly travel with devices with open ports, dust and fluff will get into the ports. One day that will cause a problem. If you carry your iphone in your jeans pocket a lot, go get a wooden cocktail stick and dig out the gunk in your port. Now imagine a small metal sliver gets lodged in one of those ports... this **** happens, and as someone who traveled a lot with my MBPs I would have liked this option, and I'd love idevice solutions too...

How often do you have them with you on a construction site? People that work around very dusty places may find it useful. I‘m an office worker and would never buy this though.20 years owning laptops. Never heard of uncovered ports being a problem.

I think that's a good price, especially considering how much Apple accessories usually cost. And if you were to try and make your own version of this it would cost considerably more in terms of time cost and the result wouldn't be as good!
I wish Apple would come up with a new material for black keyboards that doesn't start wearing out in the first 4 weeks of usage and get progressively worse from there.
