just finished to watch the football match Germany - Italy.... obiviously I was supporting Italy...such a shame we lost in that way. I am happy anyway because we did a great european championship and we won against some of the best national teams in the world
Haha I was rooting for Germany in the game, crazy how it ended 6-5 on penalties! I'd absolutely love to see Iceland win the tournament, but getting through France and then Germany seems like an impossible task!

So I got this last week. It's a FireGL X3 video card. But it ain't no bogstandard one, it's a flashed one. At least, I assume, as the guy who sold it to me pulled it out of a working PowerMac G5. But the best thing is the price. Usually, these run for $100+ flashed for Macs on eBay. What did I pay? €10 + €2,50 shipping. Awesome awesome deal. Once I find my tube of thermal compound, I'll put my MDD back together, tape the pins, and get ready to rock this card. I really want to max out this MDD, I hope to find the 1.42GHz Dual Processors module + copper heatsink someday. That'd finalize this build, as it already has a SATA 1TB drive and maxed out 2GB RAM, and now one of the best video cards out there that will work (flashed) on it. I also want to paint it black sometime this summer. Basically paint the panels from the inside, so it retains the glossy finish but looks really good. Someone else has done this before and it looked fantastic.

Given a choice of those two, yup.
Both the candidates disgust me beyond what I deem to be reasonable levels. If there was ever a time to vote 3rd-party, this is it...

(That will be the extent of my political discussion in 1 3/4 years on MacRumors.)

Edit: Deleted a second quote/response by request.

Now a question for the PPC community. I know many of you also have Intel Macs, but which ones, and which of those is your favorite?

No idea why this has to be dragged over here after it has been dealt with. If a mod could delete that, that'd be great.

I have a MacBook Air 13" 2012, and I recently got ahold of a white MacBook 13" early 2009, but the MacBook Air is my main computer and easily my favorite Intel Mac. :)

No need to be rude. My intention was to make a single reply and hopefully avoid it turning into a discussion (hence my question at the end to transition to a different topic). If you want me to edit out your quote I can do that.

Yes, I want my quote gone as it has been deleted. There is absolutely no need to bring it back. I'm not being rude at all, I just don't like people taking my deleted quotes from one thread over to another.

No question on that one for me-the mid-2012 15" classic MBP with a hi-res antiglare screen.

I have 16gb of RAM with a 1TB Evo-it screams.

I finally got around to adding to my signature my (really unnecessary) list of (a small fraction) of my Apple things. :p

How's everyone doing?

Pretty good. Got another two free Macs on the way that I'll be getting the first week August. As always, I'll do my usual write up on them once I get them.

Hmm, PPC would have been the 12" iBook G4 I got a while back, but as of late I've been enjoying a Mac Mini I got for free. it's an original '05 model with the 1.42 GHz G4 and 1GB RAM running Leopard. I've since hooked it up to my TV and installed some emulators on it and paired it with a Sony DualShock 4 controller from my PS4 to use as a gamepad with the emulators, and it actually works out of the box with Leopard. Plays NES/SNES/Genesis/GBA etc games no problem.

Intel is harder as I've loved on all my MacBooks over the years but there is one Mac that is particularly important to me and that is my families (now mine) original Mid 2007 iMac. I was 13 years old when we got it and in middle school. It shipped with OS X Tiger and is now on OS X El Capitan and I'm now 22 and out of college. I pretty much grew up with the thing so it has a lot of sentimental value in it plus it's lasted 9 years and has seen 7 OS X updates. I think that's unprecedented for any other Mac other than the '07 MBP from the same time. It is a complete base model that shipped with a 2.0 GHz C2D, 1GB of RAM, 128MB ATI 2400XT, 250GB HDD, and a 20" 1680x1050 display. Since then I've upped it to 4GB RAM with a 120GB SSD and it runs great. It's too bad it won't support MacOS Sierra, as I'm sure it wouldn't run that much differently from El Cap but I guess they had to draw the line somewhere. It does however run current builds of Windows 10 with ease.

Ok, so no PowerPC relation at all, but is anyone else playing No Man's Sky? It's AMAZING! I got it for my PC today, and I wound up playing for 3hrs straight. I was a bit hesitant at first since I was reading that it would run horrible on any computer accept for one built by God. But I went ahead anyway and i was getting great frames with very little lagging if any. My hardware is AMD FX-6300 CPU, Nvidia GTX 970 (Gigabyte) and GPU, 3TB Seagate HDD with Windows 10, 80GB HDD with Ubuntu 16.04, 16GB DDR3L RAM, 3-monitors (1x Samsung 23in, 2x Dell 19in), IBM Model-M Keyboard, Logitech G300 Gaming Mouse, and I used one of my PS4 DS4 controllers to play. If you have a decently spec'd PC or better, I recommend getting it even if it runs bad now, after all I'm sure they'll be fixing the problems soon enough.

I just showed another one of my friends "iSteve", hands down one of my favorite movies, and definitely my favorite Steve Jobs movie (and parody).
