im not at all worried about chelsea, i wasnt worried about blackburn either. It takes more than one league title and a carling cup in the last 50 years to get me worried.

there are three big clubs in the premiership - Liverpool, Arsenal and Manc utd.

the g14 wont even have chelsea

Yawn. Tedious beyond belief... can't stop talking about us.
Nice result at Bolton BTW.

tedious? a bit like teh one nils you drill out week after week. terry to drogba must be etched in your brain - you hear the commentator say it so much.

our form at the moment is better than yours (you know, the mighty mighty blues) 10 wins and a draw in the last 11 - ill take it. its probably better than in your ---- in your ---- ---- in your -----

sorry i was trying to say history but it apears chalsea have none

:D

Whatever you say, fella. For someone who doesn't care about Chelsea, they're obviously preoccupying you to the point of distraction.

Never mind... that's OK with me. :)

It's delightful to be involved in such an engaging and thoughtful conversation with such charming people.

You can't seriously be using the 'one nils' line about Chelsea? Have you not seen their goal difference? You don't get that from one nils!

Although only two of those big Premiership clubs have actually won it. :p

yeah, i know, ever since it became the Premier League, Liverpool have failed to add to their tally, which still stands by the way, more than anyone else :)

As much as i hate Chelski (and no i'm not just hating because they're winning) you have to admire what they're doing on the pitch. We (Liverpool) seem to have got the defence sorted (Chelski and Bolton games aside) and are up there with the blues on that one, we just gotta score more goals, even ManUre are slotting them home convincingly, we need to be doubling our tally honestly. and we are getting there, slowly.

I think it's pretty much Chelski's for the taking now, only they can lose the title, and i hope LFC will come in 2nd for the CL spot (if we don't win it again ;) ) ahead of Utd.

Be grand to see Wigan get a top 5 too

yes i agree 3 posts and 15 seconds of my time is "preoccupying me to the point of distraction"

i think you will find we have won it 18 time - the league title that is.

I'll have to ask my dad about that—some of us are too young to remember Liverpool winning league titles.

really that young?

are well you will just have to watch us in the best game off football ever played - the one that will go down in history and not be forgotten because it was bought

champions league? you're havin' a laugh

It's very telling that Messrs. Wenger and Ferguson have ALREADY given up hope of catching up to Chelski this season, with 17 or so games left apiece.

You can't catch up to a team that never loses, or loses so infrequently that it would take 10 seasons to catch up to them assuming YOU had a perfect record yourself.

yeah - chelsea are consistant, thats for sure. they suffocate teams like wian etc - man utd used to win 7-0 but never used to has a level of consistency like chelsea have not. the 1-0s are why they are champions.

wether that rubs off in europe

who knows

EDIT - they dont draw much either - thats where they are the strongest. beating teams like boro and spurs away, other teams tend to drop points - when you have the money to buy a squad like chelsea it doesnt matter if you leave a player out because you have a reliable player to replace him

B_V - we obviously think about Chelsea, as they are leading the league we follow.. I wouldn't call it obsessive.

We have the Champs League, and thats about it (oh, and FA Cup).

My predictions: Henry will leave. Arsenal will finish ~4th. Man Yoo, ~3. Liverpool 2nd, Chelsea 1st. Arsene will bring in a player costing the equivalent of Reyes.. ~15 mill. The team after Real. will knock us out of the Champs League.

And thats about all I can think of. :p

You just made me feel bad!
I agree with all you said, except that Henry will leave.... don't let that be true.

Team after Real cannot be Chelsea, I hope..??? :D

They don't keep winning one nil! 46 goals in 21 games!

Get over it – they're an exciting team that score loads of goals! For example their last result was 3-1, and there have been a few 3-0 and 4-0s this season. How about Cantona era Man Utd when they were always winning one-nil (Cantona generally being the scorer)?

thats this season alone - im not saying its a bad thing but from yers of watching football i can tell you that they are not an exciting team to watch. they play alot of hoof football (different from long ball football) which isnt a bad thing - its effective. its a complement to them that they turn these games that could have been draws into wins.

I don't agree Chelsea being an exciting team to watch. Yep, they have scored many goals, but usualy scored by forcing the opponents to make the mistake. It's the Italian (also German) way of playing football.

It is an extremely effective way of playing the game, if your defence is strong enough and the midfield players must be very diciplined. But it is not pretty.

But we musn't forget that Arsenal had the boring days too... hence: "One-nil to the Arsenal", and "Boring, boring, Arsenal" of yesteryear....

Problem IMHO is, is that once all teams play similar to Chelsea, the game will get too boring..... That can't be the idea.

Watch Arsenal's football in their invincible season, and compare it to the football Chelsea currently play. Sure, Chelsea get results, but our football was (and is) so much more attractive.

I'm with that statement 100%! Sublime...

oohh yes!

Don't get me wrong, m8!

I am an Arsenal supporter for a very long time now, but we have to admit we have seen our game change for the better (best!) under Wenger's leadership.

Like I said: Everyone play like Chelsea... no-one will watch football anymore.
But.... Everyone (try to) play like Arsenal... too many mistakes will be made ;)

Not as simple as that eh!
