wonder where the next stop is, if any
 
Me too milkman. Mine left Addison Illinois at 6pm! I'm in new York long island Hbu looks like our iPhones are traveling together. Apple orders still says preparing for shipmet even tho it's been in ups hands since Sunday 16th. Also hate to be a kill j

Also hate to be a kill Joy but residential deliveries is end of the day even tho it may say by 1030/12/300 pm. That's only for business. Also guy who posted pic of shipping for 18th. Either that's not the iPhone, or ups made a mistake which will b fixed and end up being delivered on Friday. My iPad 3 had a expected delivery date 3 days early but changed to release day.

Also the way to track your package is go to ups.com click tracking click track by refernce and where refernce number is put in your cell phone number or number on account with carrier or billing number. If ups has your package that will work.

Apple.com says mine is preparing still but tracking via reference using UPS has it shipping and set to arrive Friday.
 
same here.iphone 5 att 16 gb still prep for shipment at apple.com but my iphone 5 is appearing at apple support site and ups reference tracking says it was shipped sept 17 and delivers on sept 21.
 
iPhone 5, 64GB, White. Ordered on 12:20am, Sep 14, 2012.

It just left Alaska and will be on time delivered to San Francisco on September 21st, according to UPS tracking via phone number as reference.

Apple.com still says Preparing for shipment.

Mine has the same departure scan as yours, but I doubt if they've actually moved.

I'm guessing that Apple gives UPS a bunch of shipping labels (or sends the data for UPS to print), and that when the individual phones are picked from the bulk packaging and labeled, they're also scanned for departure and put into the freight container. But they won't actually go anywhere until the evening of the 20th. Then they'll all head to an east coast hub before transferring to local flights.

As far as delivery time, my iPads weren't delivered until after 5 pm, so I'm not expecting my phone early. UPS rarely arrives at my house before 3 pm or so.

Thanks the trick worked. I found it. even though apple shows as preparing for shipment!
 
iPhone 5 16gb White still 'preparing for shipment'

Hey I am in the UK, I was wondering if anyone knows which company will be shipping to the UK and if I can track my shipment?

FYI - I have ordered a 16GB White iPhone 5 and it is 'Preparing for Shipment' on the Apple order status page.

Nevermind, It now says shipped on the Apple site and is giving me UPS tracking codes.
 
Ordered Black 32GB for VZW from Apple's website around 12:08am PST. Currently mine still shows "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's site but when I looked it up via my phone number on UPS, I see it's currently in Louisville, KY due for delivery on friday.
 
How could the apple page still show preparing for shipment. I mean I understand a day or 2 delay but the phone shipped on Sunday. Why the large delay.
 
It is weird unless shipping from China that they would ship so early. It is 9 days until release!

Plus now that means they are charging us earlier than expected which isn't great.
