Your analysis is correct under normal conditions...behind APPLE products, there is huge, undesirable profit outside the USA...
According to your approach, do you think APPLE sells their products in Russia at lower prices? (population of Russia is huge!) Of course not! An iMac in Russia costs more than in Belgium!!! Do you think Russians are poor people and APPLE has difficulties to sell its products there? of course, no! Then, why???
Yes, indeed! A citizen of the EU can travel to the USA to purchase an iMac at a lower price (30-40%!!!) ...do you call it free market? Who really controls the "APPLE" prices in the market and makes undesirable profit of that? (this is the question).
