I don't know what is happening to the price of produce in the UK, but it is extremely high in the US, specially in Alaska where I live because the chain stores (supermarkets and general merchandise) ship all their products to the stores in Alaska from the so called, "lower-48 states". The same is done in Hawaii. All products cost a lot more in remote areas of Alaska that have no road access. Wages are high, and so the cost of living. gasoline costs over $5.00 per gallon already, but I buy 35 gallons x month at $1.00 discount. Sometimes I don't need so much gasoline, so I donate it to my older son. He drives a truck most of the time, and a motorcycle every now and then during the summer. I see numerous UK motorcyclists in Alaska during the summer.
