im pretty confident it has 2gb of ram. what disappoints me is they use the same old display like the 5s. because i have seen the 6s in store, the display is much more vibrant.
It's far less noticeable on the 5S screen. But yes, the 6S display is more vibrant.

That's the point, Apple has become the master at getting enthusiasts to believe Apple cares about them. Quite the accomplishment.

But second to the cold hard fact that Apple's never cared so little about anything else. In it now strictly to grab every last penny, most impressive is how millions of Apple buyers fail to see the obvious.

How else did they become the most valuable company in the world or the most profitable ?

Following the same logic, I'm pretty sure Samsung and the others are not charities either, all trying to cash in on their brand names/marketing : Apple's the most successful of the lot which is why it stands out.

Cheers !

im not disappointed with the resolution of the SE. it's sharp enough and im one of those people wo against 2k or even 4k display on a smart phone that hit the performance and battery life so bad. but more wide gamut like the 6s is preferable.

I understand. Maybe it'll be upgraded with the next version.

This guy.

Does anyone with any sense think that the game Apple plays has any goal other than profits? I don't think so. It is a business after all. Heaven forbid they try to make money.

Some of us happen to enjoy the experience that Apple products provide. That preference doesn't make us stupid or incompetent or blind to their motives or anything else your comments have implied. Maybe some people like Apple's products, whether or not you perceive them as a ripoff.

Some sites are reporting 1 GB and some reporting 2 GB. Still looks like guesswork and rumour at this point until the phones are actually in the wild for analysis.

If I recall correctly. The RAM comes with the chip, that is why it is called an SOC "system on a chip".

To put in a different RAM on an already fabricated chip is probably more costly. And as an SOC, I am pretty sure the A9 is designed with a 2gb RAM.

No, it doesn't.

The chart says "unknown," and the article doesn't mention it at all.
Oh right, well the article has been updated. It did say two when I first linked it.

Correct, however Apple have done this before and quite recently at that;

iPhone 6 with A8 = 1GB RAM
iPad Mini 4 with A8 = 2GB RAM

Wouldn't it be nice in 2016 if Apple finally just sucked up and post RAM in the tech specs?

The whole RAM doesn't matter argument is super dumb.

I think it will have 2GB, but just waiting for conformation. Screen shot or something. I am surprised press members at the hands on session don't load it up and check :)

That goes for every company in the world buddy without saying so you're not saying anything new here. Your point?

On a related note, Verge posted the comparisons of the iPad Pro 9.7" and listed 4gigs.
How do they know without testing a unit?
Did Apple confirm?

Antutu says 2Gb ram 100%

iPhone SE appears on AnTuTu with 2 GB of RAM
Slashgear.com

Well, that was quick. Apple has just announced the iPhone SE and the smartphone won't be officially launching until next week. However, someone in China apparently already had the smartphone long enough to pass it through AnTuTu's usual battery of diagnostics. Presuming this is the real deal, we are looking at a 4-inch monster that is almost really exactly like the iPhone 6s in specs. Here, that means exactly the same amount of RAM and almost the same 130,000-ish overall score.

Apple has never been one to focus on the geeky aspects of tech specs. Case in point, it never really details the battery size or amount of RAM inside its devices, preferring, instead, to dwell on how long the battery will last each day. Luckily, a few other parties, like iFixit and AnTuTu, are more than willing to spill the beans.

The iPhone SE is veritably the iPhone 6s in the 5s' size and clothing. Pretty much all the specs, save things like Touch ID, 3D Touch, and resolution, are on par with the most recent, larger iPhone. It is no surprise then, to see AnTuTu confirm that 2 GB of RAM is indeed present inside as well. That definitely puts a lot of punch inside this small device.

That punch can also be seen in the iPhone SE's overall score. AnTuTu gives it a mark of 134,358. It is actually slightly above AnTuTu's score for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, averaging at 132,620. Given how the...

I can imagine it's a very tough decision for Apple. Traditionally they would go with less on the lower model to encourage people to pay more for the more profitable models but they know 1GB is deficient and the public is aware. On the other hand, if they go with 2GB it'll cannabalize the much more profitable 6S and 6S Plus. But considering the market condition it would be suicidal not to go with 2GB.

Is the SEVreally a lower end model though, it seems to be more of a high end phone stuffed in a smaller package, hence it makes sense to get 2GB RAM.

Considering most typical users that the phone is aimed at barely know what RAM is or care much about it, it's likely more related to using existing SoC rather than redesigning something and changing up their production lines that would potentially result in greater cost and overall effort.

To Apple it's a lower profit model. To informed consumers it's a smaller 6S.

Yep, been confirmed that's it's indeed 2GB of Ram. A9 and forward is all 2gb of Ram or more.

Didn't think they'd add it because of the lower price. Really glad I was wrong!
