I was at my local VZW store this past weekend and spoke to an associate there and he sounded pretty confident that they would have the model I wanted (iPhone 7-32 GB - regular black) in stock if I came there when they open at 8 a.m. on Friday. I didn't do the whole online preorder thing b/c I prefer to get my high end electronics in person rather than have it mailed to me. Now the VZW that I go seems like they are never busy every time I go in there. Now I am in a college town in West Texas, but the store is off the beaten path per say. Anyway, I plan on getting there around 5 a.m. and just waiting in my truck until I see a car pull up and then I will get in line if nobody else is already in line. I have never waited in line for a iPhone before, but like I said this particular VZW store never seems busy.

No one really wants this phone, it's really an iPhone 6S without a headphone jack.

So I don't think you're going to have a problem this Friday, just walk in and pick one up.

I expect that the Jet Black model will be in high demand because it looks different than the 6S at first glance. Matte Black may be in high demand too, if there are many people who want to get away from Space Gray.

I don't know anyone who uses their iPhone without a case. I must interact with, what, 200 people a week and see, what, 2000 people on the train and I don't see anyone using their iPhone commando.

In the end we are all carrying around a black shiny screen in a protective case, no one can tell the difference between an iPhone 6, 6S, or 7 at this point. So anyone into the 7 for the "look at me" prestige is going to be sorely disappointed.

I plan on updating to iOS 10 and buying a new case this week, everyone will think I just bought an iPhone 7. In fact, I may let them believe that, the only difference is a headphone jack and no one pays any attention to that.

I was playing around with the in-store pickup option on the app and It seems like this is the order for Easy -> Hard to get.

Rose, Silver, Gold, Black, Jet.

Anyone have any info on T-mobile store inventory on launch day? I'm guessing very sparse from past experience.

For the Apple Store, I think jet black will be hard to get if you are not there early and it also depends on the store. There never seems to be a huge shortage for long at the stores around me for previous models (Southern California).
