Apple, hear me! In Mission Control, allow us to increase the magnification on the thumbnails lined up across the top of the page. After one creates several spaces, they become too small to let one see what's on the page. You can increase the magnification of your dock icons; you should be able to do the same for the Mission Control thumbnails, and for the same reason.

it's on 7.2 beta.

Power issue on macbook pro 2008 model

I have a MacBook Pro 3,1 with OS 10.7.1 istalled I love it but I have a strange thing with the power. 1 as it charges the time left increases gets to 20:00 stops, says its not charging then if i take the battery out it then says its fully charged. Then i remove the power cord and i have around 2 hours charge. but then with in about 5 mins i get it tell me im on reserve battery power. Please can some one help with this as I would like to be able to use it on battery. I have tried a PRAM reset no joy, and a SMC reset no joy either.

Does anyone else get this?

Maybe someone already reported this, but this bug is easily replicated.

1. Open Safari and go to full mode.
2. With your mouse, bring up the task bar and open Safari again but this time on a New Window.
3. Go to full mode in this Safari window too.
4. With your mouse bring down the command bar and go to Window/Merge All Windows.

Ta da! You`ve got a silver/dark screen alas "a bug".

To eliminate it just CMD+Q Safari and open it again.

Saludos! :apple:

This may not be a Lion problem, it might have started when you upgraded, but doesn't mean it's the cause. I suggest if there is a way to boot into Snow Leopard to see if you get the same problem. If you do then either your battery is shot, MacBook won't charge the battery or, both.

My problem probably isn't unique but couldn't find reference to the exact same issue, any help is appreciated.

I have Mac Mini (2010) connected to TV as HTPC.(Video out > HDMI converter > AV Receiver)

I use Plex on the HTPC and Snatch (iPhone App) to Remote Control the Mini.

When the Mini display sleeps, I can wake it as normal using Snatch (I can hear audio) but there seems to be some kind of HDMI handshake type problem - the display does not return whatever I do (on the iPhone.)

I have to go to another Mac, Screen Share the Mac Mini and it instantly recovers the Display.

Any tips? Is getting annoying and I'm stumped on what the problem is? Thanks.

I have two problems with Lion that bothers me so much:
1. Natural scrolling will re-enable itself sometimes but when I look in "Trackpad", it was not checked.
2. Apple remote will launch iTunes instead when I try to launch XBMC.

The battery was new as of March this year.

I'm not saying Lion isn't the cause, but your battery could be defective. It happens, I had two bad batteries with my late 2007 MacBook. :/ Again see if you can try the battery on another machine, boot into Snow Leopard to see if you have the same problem...

As an example of how stupid our computers still are, at least on Mac the voice constantly mis-pronounces words because it can't understand the context in which words are used. For instance, the Mac voice (I have mine set to Alex) will pronounce the element lead as "leed" (as in "lead the way"). Which goes to show that what makes us smart isn't our ability to compute. Please, Apple, create a computer that pronounces words correctly based on context.

Wifi problems.

Macbook air 2010, Lion 10.7.1, everytime I boot or get the MBA out of sleep it doesn't automatically reconnect to my wifi network. I have to go to the wifi icon, and click on my network-it thens reconnects without asking me the wpa password.
The wifi is from an airport extreme and I had no problems with this MBA under SL...

My wifi harddrive streams nicely on my iPad but not my MacBook!

Not sure if this is a lion issue but it could be!

I've posted a thread about it here but so far no replies! :(

Resume maybe bug

Hi. When i have iTunes open in fullscreen and others programs like preview in full screen let's i shut down the system with resume enabled.

When the system opens firstly shows me the page of the pdf on the desktop but the pdf is on full screen and then goes to iTunes. why this behavior?

it will be more logic to open every program in the background and shows to the user his desktop as he left it. and when use mission control everything will be as he left it.

my problems with Lion OS X

A couple of small problems have emerged since I did a clean install of Lion on my 2007 Macbook.
1. When I wake the macbook from sleep, my Meteorologist program has disappeared off the dock. I have to re-start it from the applications folder.
2. I'm loosing bookmarks of the bookmark bar in Safari
3. This morning as a test I emailed myself at four different email addresses and this evening, only two of my test emails have been delivered to apple mail.
4. Using Safari I'm noticeably getting more of the spinning wait cursor and the fan comes on as though it's over heating.
5. Using Safari I got stuck in a sort of loop. I was on a webpage that had a popup and it wanted me to click a box to close the popup. I didn't want to do that so I had to use force quit to get out of the page. But the problem was Safari closed and when I re-opened Safari I was taken back to that same page again, with the popup, even though I have disabled resume and un-ticked re-open windows on shut down.
6. I'm not too fond generally of the resume enhancement but on the other hand, disabling it has disadvantages too. Because it's disabled, I can no longer view recent documents in Pages. I have to open a folder to view my documents.
But, I'm not a computer whizz so it might be my lack of expertise that I have these problems

My trackpad and keyboard are unresponsive for 1-2 seconds after waking from sleep. Nobody else has this issue??

I have the same issue. After the screen comes up, touchpad or keyboard will not respond until 1-3 seconds later.

I have an issue with my Mac Pro 1,1 - I have 16gb of ram and the system reports it as 14gb.

I can boot back into 10.6 SL and it will report that it is in fact 16gb. A physical check confirms this.

I did have a Kernel Panic with 10.7 after upgrading with the latest patch I do not get the kernel panic.

Hmm. A bit of a mixed bag here.. Updated couple of days ago and things
went relatively smoothly. No big hangups or problems in the update itself..

But..

MB 5.1

1. Display brightness fluxuates :

Up and down,not constantly...but almost.
Every few minutes the display dims 2-8 stops without any reason and you have to manually brighten it. Friggin frustrating as I have not found yet a way to make the display to be at max all the time..
No such issues under SL.

2. Airtunes/iTunes streaming to aTV 1 :

Very, very spotty and laggy. Constant interruptions and sound disappearance. Have to restart the song/podcast or reconnect to aTV.

3. Aifoil :

Ok,this goes to airfoil itself, I guess. The old version (3?) did not work at ALL with tiger. When updating to 4, the whole program "disappeared", the icon is there but with cross over it and message
"You cant open the application Airfoil.app because it may be damaged or incomplete".
Wich sucks because if trying to get support/upgrade you need the serial number from the program...wich does not exist anymore...

4.Trackpad insensitity to click :

The one finger clicking has gone to *******, feels that nowadays you have a 50% chance that the touchpad does not register "tap to click",no matter what.. Small, but really frustrating issue.

Quicktime player no longer saves .avi as .mov

Since the update to Lion I have been unable to use Quicktime Player to save .avi files as .mov. This is a significant disadvantage of the upgrade.

Mission control not working!!!

Hi, I am a newbie to macrumors and forums and i figured i just might get started. I am running OS 10.7-10.8 Lion, Mountain Lion and my Mission Control application is not working. What should i do?

Desktop disappears up to the task bar

Happens sometimes... this time, when I opened iTunes then swiped to Safari as iTunes was opening, both in fullscreen.
