The rMPB BTO Shipping Thread

I think waiting for our computers to ship is the hardest part.

For those who have moved to Preparing for Shipment, did you get any notification or did you have to check Apple's order status page? (Not that I haven't been glued to that page, but I wanted to check on that)

Junecloud's package tracking Dashboard widget sent a push notification to my iPad.
 
still prepping for shipment. of course in a 1-3 day window it will ship on day 3. why was i so foolish to expect otherwise?:rolleyes:

While I wait for the MBP, I need a mini displayport to vga to connect mbp to monitor AND a case or hard shell. What do you recommend?

I decided to not got the $30 adapter as I heard you can get cheaper from amazon.

For the Mini Displayport to VGA adapter and any other cables you may need, I'd recommend checking out Monoprice. Their adapter is $13

Yeah, I've seen that you cancelled your order. You are doing the right thing going to 16GB. CPU is probably not going to change much, and the SSD can be upgraded once PCIe SSDs are available from OWC or other vendors, but the memory is more likely to limit you more in the future.

Hope you get it soon!
 
Yes! My 15" 2.6 1TB changed to preparing for shipment! Can't wait. Should've of gotten the faster shipping method lol.

I've never bought anything from them, but have heard nothing but good things. So I'd say pretty reliable.

They're actually awesome quality for the price. I have a bunch of there cables and one of their graphic tablets and they've been nothing but stellar.
 
Mine's still Processing. I ordered it 4-5 minutes after the store came back online post keynote.

15.4" / 2.6GHz CPU / 16GB / 750M / 1TB SSD

I couldn't make up my mind and was deciding between 13" and 15".

Took about a day to think it over. Anyway from what I understand the delay isn't due to stock issues but rather regulatory body approval. Somehow the new MacBook hasn't been cleared for use in Singapore.

This sucks man :(
 
Ordered Tue ~6pm, BTO, 15" 2.6/16/1TB. two days later, still says "Processing," delivers Oct 31-Nov 1. I'm in Illinois.

Frustrating, ready for shipment!

I'm in IL as well - Chicago. I ordered 3 hours before you but that does not mean much. I bet yours will switch to preparing for shipment soon. You'll definitely get your before me because I expect mine will be delivered early next week - while I'm out of town. ugh. Well, my time capsule comes tomorrow and maybe I can play with it.
