The screen the screen the screen.

Yes LG.

You know, as a photographer, I'm not sure if the Pro would've been the best result for you? Surely the image on the Pro is maybe too falsely vibrant? I like it because I'm in Web Design and looks good for clients, but as a photographer (my best friend is) I would've thought it'd be misleading.

Ime saturation gets leveled when calibrating usually.

Your picture appears too saturated on my calibrated IPS screen. The blues on my air (samsung) appears to be blue albeit washed out, which is expected from a lower gamut display.

When calibrating your air did u set a 6.5k white point or did you work with its native white point? Perhaps try working off the native white point as my last MacBook with a horrible screen had trouble with a 6.5k white point.

It'd be nice to have an IPS panel on the MacBook line. We can dream right?

See that's interesting. No saturation or vibrancy was added to that shot. I went with native white point.

Thanks for the insight. I'll dream with ya!

when I look at my website on my 13 pro 2011 i7 which im selling, www.sunshineautomall.com

the red actually looks read bright red and vibrant on my 13 i7 air it looks more dull

this is because of the color gamut? and as far as the text everything looking much smaller what was the due to again?

Yeah its the same as a website I made too, a bright yellow looks completely different on the Air. Just the colour gamut and calibration. I've said it a few times though, most people will see things through the Air quality of screens rather than Pro's, so what we see on our Air's is actually more closer to what most people will see. Check on an iPhone, the Airs colours are the same as that too.

Higher resolution = smaller text too.

Meanwhile, air users.. what color is that lounger to you?

Looks vibrant aqua blue here, LG screen. Not a single hint of purple, no (not the greenish aqua blue either).

I did some comparison and I think the Samsung screen had the colors way more pumped out of the box color profile. Not sure if calibrating can help much. Sure the colors on LG display is a little more washed if you compare the 2 display side by side but in the end I think LG is easier on the eyes, and seems to have better color on watching video (which is something you might also want to test).
