I scored two different iPad 3 cases:

(1) Beyza Executive II case for iPad 2, black leather.

(2) Switcheasy Canvas for iPad 3, in black.

I can`t decide which I like more.

The Beyza is a high quality leather case and a price to boot. Cheaper than Vaja though and a much better laid out design than anything Vaja has (I`ve used the Libretto and and underwhelmed). What I love about the Beyza is that it takes the benefits of Apple`s own Smart Cover design and integrates it into a slim package. Quite light and offers great protection. The magnets work perfectly with the 3 as does on off. This case has been on my iPad 3 since it arrived from Germany.

I was a huge fan of the Canvas for the iPad 2, except for the cracking issue. I actually have a few of the cases kicking around and they all developed cracks, including one I got as a warranty item from Switcheasy.

Their version for the iPad 3 seems much beefier in the corners. I don`t envision the cracking issue being an issue with this case. They removed the old latch, but I liked the latch. I never had a problem with it. That being said, the magnets hold the case closed fairly well. On-off works without a hitch for me.

A big concern from many was the lack of a typing position. The case does have a typing position. You just squish it down a bit and it holds. Mild wobble when typing, but not bad at all. This case is currently on my iPad 2. I think I`ve found the two cases I want to keep on my IPads full time.

5 stars for both. Oh wait, this isn`t a rating site. :D

Targus Slim

I have to say, when you get a TS that works, it is just about ideal. Nice typing angle, nice fit. Quite thin. I just got lucky on Amazon.

I picked up a Targus Slim today from BB. The on/off kinda works sometimes. I contacted Targus and they said they have a new one in the works with a 6-8 week ship time. They are sending me a redesigned one when they come in.

I have to be come honest when I say I've had this Maki Sleeve with me for a bit over an hour and I absolutely hate it. It's is not worth the $30 I paid for on the InCase site; the material feels somewhat cheap in my opinion. The sleeve itself it super snug and doesn't seem to offer any true protection if I was to drop it on the floor. I may as well carry it nakedly.

The typing angle absolutely sucks and cannot be trusted. I'm using it at the time of this typing and it keeps falling. This isn't a surprise considering this sleeve isn't really meant for the angles, it's simply advertised as such. I only wish there was an InCase location I could return this case at rather than having to mail it back to them for an exchange or refund. it's a shame, I do love InCase a great deal, but with this case they really messed up.

The portrait angle is only slightly better, but has made the iPad fall a few times.

I hate this case. I'm going to return it.

My aluminum iCarbon arrived today and am going to install it. I may go the smart cover route or not at all and just keep it naked. I don't want a case and so far this past week having the iPad without any protection has been heavenly. Of course I don't know what I'd do if she was to take a tumble.

You got to be kidding. You got exactly what you ordered. Did you even read the description?!

Its advertised as "Featuring ultra-slim protection, the Maki Sleeve is ideal for those who want a truly minimalist Pad sleeve." But you complain because it offers no protection from a fall? Why didn't you just get a bulky Otterbox?

"The Maki Sleeve’s premium suede construction" So you never felt suede in your entire life? You complain about how it feels.

I have this incase sleeve and the typing/landscape angles work without a problem.
Don't let this guy ruin this sleeve for those who want to order. He has no common sense.

Definitely tell us about it. I wanted to get it, but wasn't sure if they also had the magnet problems. Beautiful leather case. What color did you get? Both black and tan look great. I guess I would have chosen tan.

I ordered a Beyza Executive II case. Can't wait to receive it.

Sure, I'll have it tomorrow. I went with black. They have a 20% off coupon floating around too which brought the price down to $141 shipped.

How did you find/hear about this case and are there any independent reviews on it yet? Definitely looks interesting.

At xda forums for Sony Xperia S phone cases. I probably should be getting my case this week.

Poetic Case tested...!

SO big question...does the sleep/wake work?

OK, I finaly have an answer to your question. Sorry it took so long. The answer is yes, the auto lock/unlock thing seems to work perfectly. It doesn't seem to do it in certain apps, but it always does it when I close it while it is in the home screen.*

My favorite case I've used for The New iPad is the Incipio Smart Feather case. It is so thin and light and the Smart Cover works amazing with it. The picture attached doesn't do much of a justice but the actual case itself is less than 2 mm thick. Another bonus is that it comes in like 10 colors. Happy shopping!

Marware hybrid iPad case....

I purchased the Marware hybrid case in black carbon fiber and have generally loved it! The only drawback is when you prop the iPad in one of the "gutters" provided for viewing angles, the iPad easily slips out of the groove and falls flat (if you are doing any serious typing). I fixed that by adding a couple of 3/8" leather suede strips glued in place along the front edge of the "gutters" which alleviated the problem. The grey leather matches the interior of the iPad case, too. I also purchased a Logitech ZaggCase Wireless Keyboard, but one of the keys broke and Logitech is sending me a full refund because they no longer make the Logitech keyboard. So, now I have ordered a ClamCase because I really need the wireless keyboard for writing a couple novels and poetry. Hope this helps someone looking for cases, 'cos there are a whole crapper-load of iPad cases out there!

Has anyone tried any sleeves? I've been searching for an iPad case for months. When i couldn't find anything fitting, i started making one myself! It's made by hand from natural fabrics, looks slick and simple, and thick enough so it protects from bumps. When paired with a smart cover you don't really need anything more.
