Just when you print the templates - make sure your printer settings aren't scaling it and it's doing actual size or no scaling.

I don't think I can do the big one. It's just not pocketable. I want one tho~! LOL Damnit.

That's why they invited the fashion press - subtle hint to make larger pockets a new trend perhaps? ;)

iPhone 6 Plus, for those with deep pockets...

Lol, true both literally and figuratively speaking. :D

Piffle. It's a full fledged hand computer. Calling it a phone is increasingly absurd. You could as reasonably call it the iCamera because the phone is as much a feature of the device as the camera is.

In other words, even at full retail this thing is a great deal. Think about it.

For example: my first computer (a Quadra 475) ran at 25 megahertz, had four megabytes of RAM and a 40 megabyte hard drive. It cost me $2.500 with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. A modem (24kbps) was another $150.

The iPhone 6 is literally HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of times more powerful than that Quadra, and I made my living as a graphic artist on that Quadra for three years.

iPhone 6 over priced? No. It's a crazy good deal.

I just compared the printouts to the Nexus I'm currently using between iPhones. (Gave my 5 away 2 weeks ago).

The 6 is less than 1/4" taller than my Nexus, and marginally thinner. The iPhone 4 was the perfect pocket phone, since it wasn't visible in my shirt pocket. The 5 protrudes a little, so the 6 will too. But not nearly as bad as the 6+ would.

And IF I change my mind, there is always the 6+s next year :) As either an early upgrade or purchased using someone like my father's upgrade eligibility. HE refuses to go with a smart phone, and in fact doesn't want to upgrade from his 2007 era Motorola since he knows how it works.

Before the announcement I was dead set I was getting the 4.7 space grey 128gb and after the announcement I was struggling too.

I went to see the Note 3 and the s5. The s5 seemed more comfortable/ the Note 3 is too big for me but the features I wanted are on the iPhone 6 plus.

I think I am going with my first mind which is the 4.7 spacy grey 128 gb. I'm not as dedicated to my decision and as a woman I might just change my mind between now and tomorrow at 11:59pm.

I was under the impression from a live blog that I was following during the release that the 5.5 had 2gb ram and the 4.7 only had 1gb ram. I think I might be wrong though, because I have yet to hear anybody bring that issue up anywhere on any thread which is strange because of all the hand wringing pre-release about the there only being 1gb ram.

Also some people are saying that the 5.5 model will have some special Imessaging feature having to do with pictures or something. I have not been able to figure out exactly what they are talking about. Can anybody clear that up for me ? Thanks

Would be surprised if 5.5 has more ram. Should find out early next week i guess

When it comes down to it, I know I want the 6+ I'm just worried about its practicality walking around in my pocket without it being painfully obvious (living in Oakland and all). I'll try the template tonight but that might be the deciding factor.

I've had a Note 2, Note 3, and LG G3 in the 5"+ range. I've printed out the cutouts, and I think I'll be fine with the 6 Plus. Yeah, it's definitely big (tall, mostly), but the better resolution, additional app UI support, OIS, and extra battery life win out.

One area not typically focused on is the depth of the phone -- sure, it's big in height and width, but being that thin should help it be more bearable than at least the two Note handsets I've had in the past.

After much debate, I have decided that if I choose the wrong one, I'd rather choose the 4.7 than the 5.5. If I buy the small one but wish I had the bigger one, no big deal. But if I buy the bigger one and it's too big, I'm screwed. The 4.7 is big enough because the 4 inch was big enough and so was the 3.5 inch. If they were, a little bigger will still be great. Plus I have an extra $100 to put toward other accessories.

Curious, why would you be screwed? You've got 14 days to return it.

I printed out the mockups from Ars Technica. The iPhone 6 is only marginally larger than my 5, and I don't think it would much more difficult at all to use with one hand.

The 6+ is going to be too big for me to use with one hand. However, I do find the substantially bigger battery and better camera to be compelling.

Basically, I want the 6+ battery and camera in a 6-sized package. Do I buy both?!

UPDATE:

Tried a friend's phone, which was 6" (Asus ZenFone 6). It felt manageable, and it's significantly taller/wider than the Plus (see photo). Fits in pocket fine, barely even feel it sitting down. You just have to get it in deep enough. But I think it's official; iPhone Plus 16GB in Silver for me.

Because I live nowhere near an Apple Store and they will likely be out of stock of replacements within those 14 days and my iPhone 5S is gone right away.
My thinking is stock for the 5.5" 6+ will be more limited than 4.7" 6. That's why I plan on getting 6+ and if I can't live with the size, return it and get the 6.

Actually, if they'd just put it on display now so I can compare them side by side, I probably wouldn't be having this dilemma.

Would seeing it on display really help though? There are competitors that have similar dimensions, until you live with it daily then there's not much that seeing it in a store will tell you.

I actually think it'd make the decision harder as no doubt the Plus screen is going to look way better.

After watching a bunch of hands on videos I'm back at the 5.5 inch. Argh.
